Yup, it's called ad_showthread_firstpost.

but guys, just like the starter of the thread, we would like to know how to do it.
so can you be kind enough to put down a way to do that?

so i just edit the template and put the ad codes there? doesnt matter put it in the beginning of the template or at the end?

There shouldn't be anything currently in the template if nothing is showing up after your first post :)

So just stick your code in there and you're set

came to look for 2 things, got a solution for one, but the other is still pending:D

just one more thing, i have 8 styles right now which i use alternatively. and like any other modification, i have to edit all 8 style templates for it to work on all styles, right?

good friend, i did as told, but the advertisement is not appearing. any possibilities that come to your mind?

that your showthread or postbit(_legacy) templates don't have the $ad_location variable in them.

They don't need to have an ad_location variable. The template is parsed automatically and added to the output.

I thought the $ad_location[ad_showthread_firstpost_start] was needed if they entered their code into the ad_showthread_firstpost_start template to display after the first post?:confused:

If I remove that code from my template it won't work, maybe variable isn't the correct word i was looking for then ?D:
