Members who have registered today.

As of 24 Nov 2017 this modification has been withdrawn.

This plugin adds a simple display of all members who have registerd on the forum - either today (i.e. since midnight) or in the last 24 hours. The display and features are similar to the "Who has Visited" and "Who has Posted" modifications.

Main features ;

1. It displays the list on Forum Home.
2. The list view is collapsable, so you just see the number of posters.
3. The list of names can be set to be always collapsed on initial view.
4. Invisible users are only displayed to those allowed to see them (with a "*")
5. Users who should display as coloured or bold etc will be displayed correctly. (based on the display usergroup)
6. If you 'hover' over a username it will show the time they registered.
7. The list is in member name order.
8. If you click on a members name it will display their profile page.
9. The option to record and display the Most Ever Registrations can be enabled.
10. The ability to turn it on/off is an ACP Option.
11. The ability to allow only certain usergroups to view the list is an ACP option (include or exclude groups).
12. The switch between "Today" and "Rolling 24 Hours" is an ACP option.
13. The listing of names can be suppressed (a simple message is displayed instead).

(All options are located in vBulletin Options > Who Has Registered).

Unzip the XML and import into vB using the ACP Product Manager.

Template Hook

Please note that this modification uses the following template hook in the FORUMHOME template ;

forumhome_wgo_pos2

This must be present in any customised template/style you are using, otherwise this modification will not display.

Not working for me in vb 3.8...
Not showing at all..

bleros 01-10-2009 04:57 AM

is work i have 3.8

Guz2003 01-10-2009 10:11 AM

Same problem, not showing at all

Paul M 01-10-2009 11:59 AM

If it doesnt show then most likely you have a customised forumhome template, missing the vb template hooks, add them manually or revert your template.

Noonster 01-10-2009 12:36 PM

Working fine here on 3.8.

Again just like the other thread WHAT ARE the template hooks?
I cannot find them anywhere! :\

aciurczak 01-11-2009 12:36 AM

The template hooks can be seen in the last lines of the second plugin:

Code:

// Use template hook.
        eval('$template_hook[\'forumhome_wgo_pos2\'] .= "' . fetch_template('Display_Registered') . '";');

The hook that this is looking for is "forumhome_wgo_pos2".

Check in your FORUMHOME template, and make sure there is this line:

$template_hook[forumhome_wgo_pos2]

If there isn't, that would explain why this isn't showing up.

Paul - I'm having some issues placing a few of your mods in the correct order in the WGO box. I've tried to reorder execution order, which wasn't effective, and then I tried aiming at different hooks, which worked to change things, but not in the way I wanted.

When you get a chance, could you post up why you chose the "Forumhome_start" hook for this mod, and the "Forumhome_complete" hook for the Member Tracking mod? I'd like them to be to right on top of eachother (member tracking on top of members registered), which worked out of the box in the 3.7.x versions and seems to have changed in the 3.8.x versions.

EDIT: Changing the hook to forumhome_complete resulted in the order being exactly what I was looking for. No need for any response or followup. Thanks again for a great mod.

King Justice 01-11-2009 12:44 AM

Where do I place $template_hook[forumhome_wgo_pos2] ?
Do I post it in the forumhome templatea nd if so where? :|

I don't know why this wasn't automatic..I upgraded to vB 3.8 and installed this plugin and didn't even work :(

EDIT: Wow that code worked. I could put it anywhere in forumhome and it would be work for both my plugins that didn't work, who registered today and who visited. Now it works and looks great, thanks!

Wish there was a way to show registered users today above visited today.

Why does most registered date/year show 1969?
Quote:

The most registrations in one day was 0, 12-31-1969.

Paul M 01-25-2009 02:53 PM

It wont update until someone actually registers.

Paul M 02-01-2009 10:13 AM

Sorry, don know what you mean, an icon for what exactly ?

irantk 02-02-2009 11:07 AM

not work

c.oper 02-13-2009 05:19 PM

Downloaded and Installed. Works great! Thanks!

noj75 02-17-2009 12:21 PM

Unfortunately this doesnt show up on my new 3.8 install either. It was working fine in 3.7

And yes, I have the hook code in place also. :(

Paul M 02-17-2009 04:06 PM

If you have the hook in place then there is no reason for it not to show, unless you have broken something or not installed/set it up correctly.

2L8 02-18-2009 05:42 AM

yeah works fine on 3.81 reserved ;) thx sir

ntduyphuong 07-25-2009 03:43 AM

I turn off "Show total number of active members" in "Forum Home Page Options", and it doesn't show anymore.

When I turn on that option again, it works fine.

How to fix that problem?

s-p0k 07-25-2009 04:07 AM

works fine..ty been looking for this

If you have the latest version, and your template hook is correct (as per default vbulletin) then that cannot happen.

Keesa 08-04-2009 06:49 PM

Thanks, this worked like a charm.

Verionia 08-04-2009 08:42 PM

Works in 3.83 :)

Saviour 10-25-2009 01:43 PM

Can this be coded with a conditional to prevent Banned members from appearing? If so, what is the correct procedure for coding this mod to allow for this?

Thanks, in advance...

Kimberley 10-28-2009 09:22 AM

Is there a mod that works the same as this for 3.7.3 as this is for 3.8 beta or higher and I would love to have it

Paul M 10-29-2009 12:55 PM

For anyone else - the 3.7 Version is here ;

Marked as Installed !

ShackMaster 01-28-2011 04:19 PM

This is not making much sense...

Quote:

Total members that have registered today: 35

The most registrations in one day was 65, Today.
This is not possible.

Paul M 01-28-2011 09:54 PM

Actually, it is.

ShackMaster 01-29-2011 02:00 PM

How is it possible to have the most registrations Today as 65, but there are only 35 registrations Today. Magic?

Paul M 01-29-2011 02:16 PM

Magic is always a possibility :) but no, its due to having users in different timezones.

The overall 'most' count is a single forum wide value, so you have a user in a different timezone who has seen 65 for today, and so set that count to 65.

Simple example - 30 registered 4 hours ago, 35 registered 2 hours ago. In your timezone, its 3 hours past midnight, so you only see the last 35 as today, the other 30 as yesterday. However, in Joe blogs timezone, its 5 hours past midnight, so he sees all 65 as today, and sets the max accordingly.

If you have a lot of users across many timezones, its better to use the 24 hour option, as everyone sees the same then.

ShackMaster 01-29-2011 03:11 PM

Ahhh.... I see. That makes sense.

Thanks for clarifying.... we were all looking at each other with a goofy face.

Chris! 11-25-2012 11:37 AM

Does anyone know how to reset the most registered users in one day/24 hour stat?

-Chris
