What Does This Hack Do?[hr]hr[/hr]
This is an update of my v3.7.x hack available here, with the added bonus of being able to use this with private messages (vBulletin v3.8.x only) and enabling dialog box locations per usergroup via usergroup permissions (no longer centrally, so allowing extra flexability). This hack is now fully phrased.

With kind permission from Dannyloski, I have now fully updated and integrated his Photobucket Image Uploader hack (which was itself, with my permission, based on my Imageshack Image Upload hack for v3.6.x.) into this hack (as of v3.8.004).

This is a hack that adds the ability to upload images/files to the Imageshack, MEGAUPLOAD or Photobucket services and be given a url to post in your posts to show your now uploaded file(s), it is available (if enabled):

• when creating a new thread
• when creating a new post
• editing a post
• quick replying to a post
• creating a new private message (vBulletin v3.8.x only)
• quick replying to a private message (vBulletin v3.8.x only)
• replying to a private message (vBulletin v3.8.x only)

The Imageshack, MEGAUPLOAD & Photobucket dialog box locations are controlled independently via usergroup permissions.

You can control the size and color of both the Imageshack (fully customisable), MEGAUPLOAD (3 sizes and 6 colors) & Photobucket (fully customisable) boxes centrally from the AdminCP.

You do NOT need a premium account to upload using either Imageshack or MEGAUPLOAD.

With MEGAUPLOAD, you can enter your premium account license key (if you have a premium account) in the AdminCP options (see post #57 for more information).

If you allow your members to use Photobucket, your members will need to registered with, and login to Photobucket to be able to upload files to Photobucket.

AdminCP settings for this hack available in vBulletin Options -> Imageshack, MEGAUPLOAD & Photobucket Uploader.
Settings that can be changed are:

1. Imageshack iFrame properties - size of the upload input field. The width, height and color (this setting will work instantly once the Imageshack developers fix this) of the iframe
2. MEGAUPLOAD Embedded box properties - size and color of the embedded MEGAUPLOAD box. You can also enter your premium account license key if you have one (see post #57 for more information).
3. Photobucket Embedded box properties - size and color of the embedded Photobucket box.

NOTE 1: If you have highly customised templates or styles and the imageshack/MEGAUPLOAD/Photobucket dialog box does not display after usergroup permissions are set, then you may need to manually add the contents of the imageshack template to the templates where you want the dialog box to appear. If that does not work, you are on your own.

Usergroup permissions for each usergroup are available in Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager.
Settings that can be changed are:

1. Choose which locations the Imageshack Image Upload box are displayed (as of v3.8.002)
2. Choose which locations the MEGAUPLOAD Uploader box are displayed (as of v3.8.002)
3. Choose which locations the Photobuck Uploader box are displayed (as of v3.8.004)

vBulletin Version Compatibility[hr]hr[/hr]
This hack can be used with v3.8.0, v3.7.5, v3.6.12 and later versions. This hack should also work fine with earlier versions of v3.7.x and v3.6.x.

Hi! I get this error everytime i update usergroup settings and i have uninstalled and reinstalled the hack over and over again and still get this.

Im running vb 3.8 latest version.

Know what the problem is?

The only way I can see this happening is you mixing up the v3.7.x product file with the v3.8.x bitfield file. As the ms_imageshack_upload_permissions column is not being added to the user table. v3.7.x version of this hack does not include a bitfield file and does not create an extra column in the database.

What I suggest is that you to do the following (exactly):

1. Delete bitfield_ms_imageshack_upload.xml from your /includes/xml folder.
2. Uninstall the hack from your Product Manager
3. Download and unzip ms_imageshack_upload_v3.8.002.zip to an entirely new location
4. Upload bitfield_ms_imageshack_upload.xml from your /includes/xml folder.
5. Import ms_imageshack_upload.xml into vB using the AdminCP Product Manager.
6. In the Admin CP, select vBulletin Options -> Imageshack & MEGAUPLOAD Uploader, and change the size and colour settings for the imageshack and MEGAUPLOAD dialog boxes.
7. In Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager, change the usergroup permissions for each usergroup individually to enable display locations (disabled by default)

That should fix the problem, if it does not let me know.

However, the Megauploader just shows how long it is taking, and sitting at 0KB uploaded... The file is a .tiff and only 38KB

Please note the above. This hack only integrates the dialog boxes for imageshack and megaupload uploaders, it does nothing with the dialog boxes, the dialog boxes are actually hosted on their respective websites. So, you will have to ask over at the megaupload for support in regards to this problem.

Will it be hard to convert this plugin to support rapidshare and imagebam instead?

This hack is not geared for Premium accounts, as I am not interested in paying for a premium account myself just to develop a version for that, and no one else is willing to allow me access to their premium account to look at adding it (I don't blame them, I don't think I would allow anyone access to it if I paid either). So, even though it is possible, it is very, very unlikely support for premium accounts will ever be added to this hack.

Rapidshare still has no facility to allow an uploads script like imageshack and megaupload to be embedded in a webpage, I have repeatedly said this over the last 2 years in all 3 versions of this hack.

Never heard of imagebam before I read this post, just had a look at it, same thing as rapidshare, it does not have a ready made facility to allow an upload script to be embedded in a webpage, although they have a developer api, you would have to write the embedded script from scratch and register for 2 different api keys, one for the developer and one for users (to be honest, not interested in registering for it), it is not something I am going in looking into at all.

okay uninstalled,

cause ewen if i set settings on/off they are all on.
dont know if its becourse of vba intergration but in anycase

all usergroups function as all options is on/yes ewen though imageshack is 100% disabled
and megaupload only should be availible in new posts its availible in both quick reply, pm and new posts.

Great idea, but prefer to be able to disable it for quick reply.

if i have the premium account on megaupload can i integrate it with the addon?

getting excaktly same error after uninstallation.
aparently it leaves something behind, preventing from usergroup creation
so reinstalled to create a user group. and uninstalling again when done.

I can't get this to work :( The settings for this hack appear in the VB menu, but there's absolutely nothing in the usergroups related to it. I've tried clearing the cache for my browser but that hasn't worked either....

Would appreciate some support.

You need to upload bitfield_ms_imageshack_upload.xml to your /includes/xml folder for the usergroup permissions to show.

You have some other hack that is conflicting, as this hacks bitfield file does not include either of the two bitfields in question.

Image shack works good but MEGA UPLOAD when i press (s) = send file nothing happen ??

The upload box embeds, so the hack is working, it is just the upload box is not sending, I do not control this at all, the upload box is hosted on the megaupload site, so you will have to ask there. See the below:

I can not recreate this problem, so I am going to have to look at your installation.

I will look when I have time, and even if I have a look, I can not guarantee that I will be able to fix it, so it is up to you what you want to do. You can revoke these after I have helped you out.
