Which is better?

Which Instant messaging service do you think is the best?

DarkGizmo 11-14-2008 02:07 AM

Msn.

lasto 11-14-2008 03:06 AM

IRC is the best.

Dream 11-14-2008 03:33 AM

miranda for MSN

and Google Talk for serious biz

Ohiosweetheart 11-14-2008 03:36 AM

I use Yahoo IM exclusively.

iogames 11-14-2008 04:27 AM

MSN all the way! they're the 'originals' ;)

SEOvB 11-14-2008 04:50 AM

MSN is full of nothing but spam and garbage constantly. Its worse than a yahoo chatroom all day long >.<

raiderlax 11-14-2008 06:06 AM

MSN FTW! Well it's what everyone I know uses.

Azhrialilu 11-14-2008 09:31 AM

Windows Live Messenger :p (just to be awkward! or MSN for short .. although I suppose it should be WLM now) Hotmail isn't an IM service, it's a webmail service :D

Dean C 11-14-2008 09:52 AM

Hotmail isn't even an IM service. But I've always preferred MSN after AIM ++++ed up my contact list, so I lost about 3-4 years worth of business leads.

Paul M 11-14-2008 01:29 PM

MSN or AIM (I use Trillian for both).

veenuisthebest 11-14-2008 01:32 PM

yahoo for me

have to agree with u 100% there.I have msn but its only for quick chats - nothing else.
MSN is mainly for kids these days and the amount of spam i get to msn hotmail is crazy.
I currently have just short of 10,000 emails in my hotmail account - and nope i dont read any of them because they all spam.

Sawa Dee SohL 11-14-2008 02:35 PM

Hmm, had my hotmail account for 3 years, haven't had any 'massive spamming' - so I like it still.

+1 more for MSN

Normally I would agree, Msn is bombarded with scene whores aka scenic whores "a/s/l sup, wanna cyber" the general kind of shit that you would associate with msn. But guess what? you add people who you want to add and the chat is as good or as intelligent conversation that happens.

Chat programs imo are all the same, they all do the same thing allowing two way/three way, conversation more if your into group orgies and it's basically a software of convienence in most cases to talk jargon unless you use it to converse with clients.

iogames 11-14-2008 02:42 PM

As always happens in the poll, some options are out:
Trillian, ICQ & Skype, all of them with massive amount of users and years on the market... Meebo?

Hotmail for 10 years, not a single problem... yet [I voted again for Hotmail :D]

Never found that function :(

KTBleeding 11-14-2008 03:05 PM

People are still using Hotmail?

I have 2004 on the phone, they say to upgrade to GMail. ;)
I use Google Talk at home, but MSN at work.

Dean C 11-14-2008 03:51 PM

Haven't had any spam on hotmail for years now. It's all about not publishing your email in public.

have to agree with u shelley but msn has got a lot worse.Have noticed over last week that i have been invited into chats with like 20 odd other people chatting and yet the weird thing is i was not invited - i just appear in their chat room and have to close the window down or read their dross crap that they type to one another.

Also i dont post my email address nowhere - but the spam still arrives and i throught msn emptied emails every so often because if they do then they not emptying mine.

for 23usd monthly/dialup they 'ownz' ya! ;)

Azhrialilu 11-14-2008 07:55 PM

I never get spam messages on MSN. Probably because I have it set so I have to accept anyone who adds me as a contact and I only add those I recognise or have left a note explaining who they are. I don't use the hotmail address for anything other than signing into msn.. (not that you have to use a hotmail address for msn anyway) and I rarely get any email to it at all - spam or otherwise.

You say you have to pay for AIM or something? I've never had to pay for a chat feature in my life.

Ziki 11-15-2008 06:09 AM

Trillian for me

RedeemedWarrior 11-15-2008 06:18 AM

Maybe you are too young... but I never said what you say that I said... for years I have seen that AOL/AIM is introduced to the ppl for the infamous 1000 hrs free internet CD, then u got hooked, and so on... besides I think Hotmail will win this poll, so I'm on the winning team Yay!

iNRoC 11-15-2008 02:02 PM

Looks like hotmail /msn is winning by a lot

sherwood 11-15-2008 08:31 PM

I would go for msn/hotmail. I have had about 4-6 accounts in the last 4 years and they have done me proud. although i like skype as well :)

yeah  you can't alter the balance of the cosmos... [although some will try to cheat ;)]

Magnumutz 11-16-2008 05:40 PM

Yahoo, why?
Because it's widely used in Europe and you can talk to anyone that's using MSN.
Hell, anyone can add me from MSN or from Yahoo and talk to them.
