ofHellfire.com a World of Warcraft guild site

1 Attachment(s)
I am the webmaster for a World of Warcraft guild site. I am interested in reviews of the "Wrath" theme on my website. In about 7 days I plan to make it the defualt an want to know if it's as good as I think it is. I use IE 7 as my browser an I just checked it out in Firefox an it all seems working as intented. If you find any of the defualt vbulletin graphis let me know, theres alot of them. I logged out an could see a good bit of the site as a guest. The theme originaly was designed by Cloudrunner who unfortunatly took the files down. I can post a screen from the original design so you can see I made extensive changes. First image should bo my site, second(ScreenDefaultForum.jpg) is the original theme.

http://shup.com/Shup/78717/108106112...la-Firefox.png:/ It's a big one, isn't it?

That being said -- It looks nice.. Very "WoWy" I would personally rethink some of those large images and try to shrink them down mainly for bandwidth reasons, but whatever.

very nice style indeed.Loading images was not a problem for me as they appeared instantly but it may affect those on modems or half meg internet but who cares :)

KTBleeding, is that document checker something you can link to? I'd like to recheck the page to see if I'm improving it. Thanks guys, looks like I'm at the optimizing load times stage.

Like what you've done with the place, style works well, nice structure and layout.

That news script you have for loading the caption and thread titles with the background images, where did you get that javascript source from?

That is the famous Joomla FrontPage Slideshow, the "tt" template. I found it easy to work with an customize, it's an imported php file that has the html hardcoded in it. So it doesn't use templates which sucks cuase it doesn't quite work with the other styles. At some point I'd like to try an integrate it more so it can use templates. Thanks

Once installed, it's under Information > View Document Size

That pretty much says it all...

A nice theme.

However, a few little niggles I have with it (graphically). The logo could be of higher quality, it looks grainy and feels like an image that has exceed it's maximum colour except it isn't because it's png formattted. The text could be clearer, again, it looks grainy and not as prominent that it should be. In a nutshell, it should be standing out from the rest of the page fully of vibrancy imo.

The navbits_start.gif & navbits_finallink_ltr.gif Don't match the style, it lacks consistency with the rest of the images of the WOW theme.

Another extremely annoying grievance is that sortasc.gif icon. It looks like it's got white matting around the edges. Either that or it's been cropped, Did this icon happen to come from another source? (just asking).

A suggestion, With regards to the button set. Instead of settling for the blue coloured font why not opt for a rich golden yellow coloured font? Giving it a more prominent look rather than the dully hidden away blue the rich yellow would break out the darkness.

Overall, a nice style. I would personally spend a little time and tracking back with some of the images and create higher quality, consistent visually looking graphics to complete the graphical side of the theme. Nice work.
