Something bugging me!

Okay, so it's been a while since I've been a truly active member of the org community, so I thought I'd make an early (or late, depending on your perspective.. or even on time if you follow the Pagan system of Halloween/Samhain being hte celtic New Year) New Year's Resolution of being more active and decided to kick it off with style.... or maybe a ban *scratches head* it's hard to say at this moment in time ;)

So, right.. where was I? Yeah, something that's bugged me for ages.. I mean, seriously, every time I pop on here and it catches my eye, I start hearing voices in my head whispering, but that could just be the medication easing off........

I'm really curious if I'm the only one who sees this, so feedback would be most appreciated......

So yeah, is it just me or does anyone else thinks Princeton looks like a young Patrick Swayze?

*slinks back under stone*

But do you know which order to do it in? And were you never taught that a predator is more likely to chase prey that runs than prey that keeps still? :D

But if a stick around, even in silence mode, then I will be expected to not only remember what the conversation was about but I will also then be expected to do "something" as a result. The "something" is not always defined so when I take a best guess shot at it, it could result in further "somethings" that I am to do. Plus if I stick around I have to remember to occasionally shake my head up & down, or left to right, at key points and grunt an understanding "Huh huh.... hhmmmm...." to feign acknowledgment.

Much easier to duck & run. Plausible deniability later on can be claimed if I am not in the room.

Oooh... I think my office is calling. I better get that...

Azhrialilu 11-05-2008 06:45 PM

LOL you wouldn't survive five minutes in my house :D but that's okay, cos I like you anyway :p

I would suspect too many hours watching Road House over LSD.

Azhrialilu 11-05-2008 07:58 PM

Road House - sounds familiar.

LSD - don't need it. I have kids.. they're more than enough to send me out of my mind :D

It is one of the few Swayze movies that most guys will actually admit to watching. The others (off the top of my head) would be Black Dog, Point Break, and of course Red Dawn. If you're a fan, you owe it to yourself to watch Road House.

Whoops... I am admitting to knowing way too much Swazye knowledge already.

{What? The dog has to go out? You sure? I'll take him out anway, just in case...}

Azhrialilu 11-05-2008 08:21 PM

Ahhh yeah I know it. My other half has it.. that'll be why it's familiar. I'm not actually a Swayze fan, mind you. I don't suppose there's anything wrong with him but most of his films a bit too mushy and not violent enough for my tastes.

While you're out with the dog, go buy chocolate ;)

Will Reeses Peanut Butter Cups do?

Azhrialilu 11-05-2008 08:37 PM

:( Fraid not. I'm pregnant, not allowed nuts. But it's a nice thought.

No nuts during pregnancy? I had not heard that one before. It is an allergy related issue or due solely to the pregnancy?

Azhrialilu 11-05-2008 09:39 PM

Soley due to pregnancy. Not allowed peanuts in case it causes allergies in the baby..... which is a pain because I always crave peanut butter when i'm pregnant!

Interesting. My wife is allergic to all nuts, not just peanuts, and prior to her and a cousin born around the same time, there was no known allergies higher up on the family tree. I've read some studies where it is advised not go give nuts to infants until around age 3 or so, but I had not heard of no nuts during the pregnancy as well.

Azhrialilu 11-06-2008 06:10 AM

It's standard practice in the UK. When you first find out your pregnant you're given a list of things to avoid - peanuts, soft cheese, eggs amongst other things. Has been the case since before my first daughter was born - and she's six :)

Hiya! I know we don't know each other, but I just read that you're due in February with a boy, too, same as me! How awesome! Glad I'm not the only one with a hubby who likes odd names (and d*mn glad mine didn't think of Jethro!)...our boy will be named Aloysius Vega. Congrats and best of luck to you, new baby, and family!:)

Brad 11-07-2008 01:07 PM

Wow! Congrats on finally having a boy! Tell your husband I send my best. I hope you don't allow his older sisters to play dress up with him haha.

I'm in school again and lovin' every minute of it. Right now I'm sitting at a table with five very good looking women and I couldn't be happier. ;) Taking a break from the web stuff to focus on application programming. Unlike you I'm not planning on having any kids any time soon though. :D I got enough worries in my life as is. ;)

You'd better post some pictures come February. I think Jethro is a good name but if I may I'd like to make a suggestion; Call him Conan...^^.

All the best.
