Ha ha!! Are the colours really too strong? |
lol just a bit
maybe use the purples a bit more sparingly/selectively for table headers and things like that instead of everywhere. |

Colours are easy to amend. |
for the colors, if you want to see the impact, go to my site (signature) .. on the top right of it, you see 10 buttons to change to 10 different colors.. you will see how hard some can be .. :) these are web-ok colors though

I've changed my colours to what I hope is a more softer combination. |
A little .. Purple, and basic. Needs a better skin imo.

colours are very bright, and maybe a better skin would be nice
like the concept though |

gradients can be your next best friend imo

I think you should definitely work on the presence of your website before anything. The design is indeed a tad hard to look at. There are a load of useful articles as well as talented designers that can help you along the journey.

Colors colors colors..
There is no real structure to easily follow with the eyes. There's a light purple color, a bright (really bright) purple color, all black text and black lines.. Nothing stands out, nothing grabs any attention.. it's all jumbled together in one huge purple lump. I'm not bagging on purple, and if that's your color then go for it.. but it would work better as an accent color more than anything. Not so BLAHHHHH in your face, just really subtle. Take a look over at http://www.colourlovers.com/. Find a nice color pallet that you like and base your style off of that.. the two tone, and the fact that the colors do not go together well at all are going to drive your visitors away.. and fast! |
the colors are pretty harsh, I would find a different style ;)
also, you should fix your title tag.. you can remove the "powered by vb" in the title by searching your phrases ;) it'll help with your SEO tremendously ;) cheers |
Thank you for your suggestions guys. :)
