Description:

This will add a mini statistic to your Forum Home under Whats Going On.
It will display the "Today's Top Poster(s) on Forum Home" in your vBulletin forums.

Features:

1. Enable or Disable Todays top poster(s) modification
2. Today's top poster(s) limit to how many today's top poster showing
3. Today's top poster(s) exclude certain users
4. Today's top poster(s) exclude certain usergroups
5. Today's top poster(s) exclude certain forums
6. Added an option to include a list of allowed usergroups so we'll be able to configure it in order to make visible only for selected usergroups
7. Today's top poster(s) - Rolling 24 Hours
8. Today's top poster(s) Location
9. Today's top poster(s) Dispay Pictures
10. Today's top poster(s) Size Thumbnails
11. Changed Today's top poster(s) layout to new better look
12. Add 1 query to forumhome

Installation:

just import the todays_top_poster.xml product file via admincp -> product manager -> import/export products

Tested on:

• vBulletin 3.7.x
• vBulletin 3.8.x

I installed it, but nothing is showing up on my forum index. Lifewise, if I manually paste the template code onto my forumhome, it just says: "Today's top poster: ()", with no user or post number.

look into forumhome template for $template_hook[forumhome_wgo_stats] code if not found add this code or revert forumhome template

It wasn't there, so I added "$template_hook[forumhome_wgo_stats]" right below the stats section. Still no luck.

This product adding 1 query to Forumhome, right ?

Find [welcome_to_our_newest_member_x]</phrase></div> </div>
Install $template_hook[forumhome_wgo_stats] between </div>.

3.7.4 Installed , works great

One tiny problem I just noticed. I made 10 posts in a private/hidden forum today, and 2 in a public forum. It says I'm the top poster with 12 posts.

It's no big deal, it's just that if someone clicked the link to view my posts they would only see that 2 posts have been made today, unless they had access to that forum.

If it ends up being a problem I can always just remove the link to view the posts, but you might want to doublecheck if there's a way to fix this.

Still love this mod though :)

I've just installed this and its not showing, I've made sure the
$template_hook[forumhome_wgo_stats] is where it should be...

My question is should it show straight away or after a few posts have been made?:confused:

it will showing the today's top poster(s) after a few posts have been made
And after 24:00 o'clock if there no posts have been made it will not showing today's top poster
also the members must made posts to show the todays top poster after 24:00 o'clock ..

Not showing nothing mate, I've even reverted a style that I don't use and its still not there :erm:
