What does this Mod do ?
It's a game - no, sorry - 2 games in one. Playable only in the profile of each user.
There is only 1 game avaible but the admin can choose what game he want's.
Snowbattle or Waterbattle.

General
You can give permissions to play the game and create clans. If a user has the permission to play, he can disable the game for him in the UserCP (this can do only one time per day). Also in UserCP he can create a clan (with permission).
There are some differences between both games. So please let me try to explain it later (all explanations are also the READ.ME).
This game works my "asset-mod" and "vBCredits", but there is no need ...
Switching to another game, will reset all users !!!

• daily credit award
• value of the award
• max. top clans in statistics
• max. top players in statistics
• max. history entries
• max. number of clans each game
• max. number of player in a clan
• reward for freezing/drowning
• prices for ...

Short explanation of snowbattle (by default settings)
You need to throw snowballs to other users. Each user starts with 20 snowballs. You throw a snowball to any user you like, but only one time per day. A user is froozen by 20 hits and can't throw snowballs any more. If he has a "grog" (hope that word is correct) he can take it to "unfreeze".
Each user has his own profile and in it he can see his status (hits), count of snowballs left ...
Also he can buy things (snowballs, grogs). If a user is out of snowballs, he need to buy new one.
It's always better to have enough money to buy a grog and snowballs.

Short explanation of waterbattle (by default settings)
Simular the same, but ... instead of snowballs it will use water.
At the beginning each user has an emty glass and 20 water-balloons, a water-pistol and a lifering. A balloon is filled with 1 litre water, a pistol can carry 3 litre.
There is an option to buy a water-pumpgun (can carry 10 litre of water). The glass can filled up to 50 litre water and if it's full - the user is drowned.
If you have no water in the glass, you need to throw water-balloons. You can use the water-pistol or pumpgun only your glass is filled with water.
You can also buy some water, but this water is yours and fills you glass. Watch out that you're not drowned. You need to keep the glass empty but ... you also need water for the pistol.
If a user is drowned, he can't throw balloons or use the pistol - he need to be saved.
Another user must give a lifering to save him - he can't save himself.

Clans (by default settings)
There is a maximum of 10 Clans and a maximum of 10 members each clan.
Clan-members can't throw snowballs/water to other members, only to members of other clans or "standalone" users. Each user can only create 1 clan. Users (with no permission to create a clan) can join or withdraw a clan.

[edit 04.11] Fixed in Snowbattle buying things.
[edit 06.11] Fixed a Bug in the UserCP-Battle Settings (if you haven't permissions fpr clans, you can't set PM to NO)
[edit 08.11] If a Usergroup haven't the permission for the game, the profiletab of a user inside this group doesn't appears any longer (simply overwrite the product)

No, it's not only wBB. I've converted it for vB.
There is no need to use it, but ... if you like on my homepage you can get it.
Otherwise, you can use vBCredits.

SnoWaterBattle also works without both mods.

How can I get it to show in profiles. I have set admin rights, yet I can not see the tab at all? Am I missing something? This sounds like an excellent mod, hopefully you'll come up with more games in the future.

Have you set the userright ?
under vBulletin option - SnoWaterBattle must be set to ON.
In UserCP (the last entry at the bottom) Battle is it set to ON ?

Great addition .. had to change a couple of phrases to make it more "English", but it works well.

When clicking to throw a snowball, it just refreshes the profile you are on. It does not count them at all and says nobody has thrown at usernamehere.

On the good side it does credit your VBcredits perfectly.

Any ideas?

You need to upload ALL files.
ncludes/class_profiletab_snowaterbattle.php is missing.

Would it be possible to show the number of hits a member has taken in their postbits ?

I think not. It will take longer to see which user has the mostest hits (water).
But ... I've wrote a little "cheat" php to find out, which user has the most .... :D

All hits are reset to zero at the end of each 24hour period .. can we have an option to extend that !?

I can see in your screenshot that you can buy waterballons or snowballs, but there is no button for me in my profile.

Tried to throw all away so that I would have 0 at everything, but still nowhere to close the deal.

Pls, try to upgrade all the php files. There was really a bug, if asset-mod or vbcredits isn't installed.

All uploaded and installed ok, everything seems ok till I click on the link in my UserCP, then all I get is a blank page, I've tried changing from water to snow but still the same, any ideas?

It will jump into snowaterbattle_profile.php. Correct ?

The last entry in the php file is:
eval ('print_output("' . fetch_template ($shelltemplatename) . '");');

and $shelltemplatename is "USERCP_SHELL". You must see the shell.

Don't know why you get a blank page.

I would like to "trace" with (for example: echo "test";) anywhere in the file to see what happends.

Yeah, I installed this and it works fine but you can't actually buy any snowballs and you cannot set up a clan, even with the back end settings in place...there is no place to comitt to the action in the profile.

Too bad, too. Snowballs fit real well on my Christmas forum.

What happens actually if you freeze and do not use a grog? will you unfreeze after a certain time and what will happen if members still throw balls when you are frozen?

When you are frozen - you're frozen. The only chance to get unfrozen is to get a grog.
Members can't throw snowballs to a frozen user.

Also members can't make others wet if they are drowned.

Sorry. It was a long ago. I think at the next day (not 24 hours) he will be "unfrozen"

everything works except the blank page from usercp issue now

So, what was it ?

I notice if you run out of snowballs, instead of telling you that you need more snowballs it defaults to :- "You've already thrown at ??"

the other issues? no idea they seemed to correct overnight

the clan and usercp functions however don't work
