Forum default avatar for members . ( no need edit template )

How to install :

• Upload the defaultavatar.png to your forum /images/avatars folder.
• Import product_defaultavatar.xml file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

Is it easy to change to another avatar?

yes just add to the same path but change the image to one of your own leaving the extension the same

ie rename your image to ............... defaultavatar.png

aslong as its a png or whatever you wish to add

just change to as a product ! and it 's a play , nothing special !

Would it be possibly to modify your mod to alternate the avatar between male and female picture, based on value in gender userfield?

Thanks, but this doesn't work 100% as you might think. This mod is just displaying a default avatar when you are reading the threads, not anywhere els (such as in the member list, profiles etc).

A better approach to this problem would be to set a default avatar on register, so that the avatar is displayed everywhere as it normally would.

Bebo do it; but if you did a hack for this i'd love it.

Is it possible to enable this hack in a way that only some usergroups would be able to see it working? :confused: (I mean not all usergroups would be able to see it working!) ;)

Works... does not seem to change the images in the social groups correctly though, but that was easy enough to fix by uploading an "unknown.gif" into the themes images/misc directory
