<script type="text/javascript" src="http://pdfmenot.com/convert.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://pdfmenot.com/embed/?url={param}&width=600&height=700"></script>

Code by dinoking.

Note: If PDF encrypted, then PDFMENOT can't read it. There's currently no way to pass encrypted data to them.
You'll get at least one of those errors if you didn't include the full path to your PDF, such as including the http://.

Hi,
Sorry need some help here: how do I install this?

Thanks!

It's a BB Code

AdminCP --> Custom BB Codes --> Add New BB Code

And then you'll see the input areas and similar titles per above, fill in and you should be done.. although this is a add-on in the mod area?

limmengwei 12-16-2008 01:39 AM

Thanks Superman!

limmengwei 12-16-2008 04:24 AM

I need help again,

I managed to add the custom bbcode and got the icon to appear on the tool bar.

I uploaded a pdf file to my server, copy the URL link and paste the url in the bbcode. When I post the thread I got the following error message:

www.pdfmenot.com
The url is not valid

Did I missed anything?

Nadeemjp 12-16-2008 06:49 AM

Hi..

It's working fine.
But how do I open a password protected PDF?
I have a standard password for all pdf files.
Can I add them as an option/parameter?

Digital Jedi 01-13-2009 05:56 PM

If it's encrypted, then PDFMENOT can't read it. There's currently no way to pass encrypted data to them.

jlew24asu 01-16-2009 04:36 PM

is there a size limit? thats the only thing I can think of. I attached the 2 errors I got for the same post. (at different times)

Digital Jedi 01-16-2009 04:49 PM

You'll get at least one of those errors if you didn't include the full path to your PDF, such as including the http://. It also can't convert encrypted PDFs.

I haven't seen anything that would indicate a size limit, but I suppose it's possible. What size is your document?

the person trying to post this on my forum is hosting it on his end

Digital Jedi 01-18-2009 03:55 PM

Actually, I just used my Local Hosted AME test thread. I didn't actually host it locally. I used your URL and this thread's BBCode.

I also tried it directly at PDFMENOT.com using your URL, and it converted fine there, too.

jlew24asu 01-18-2009 04:06 PM

ok thanks Jedi. weird

limmengwei 01-27-2009 01:06 PM

I couldn't get it to work for the pdf files that I have uploaded as attachments.

I uploaded the files as attachments, copy its URL and paste into the bbcode but keep getting error message saying that the url is not valid.

Help greatly appreciated.

You need to use an actual PDF URL, not an attachment URL. PDFMENOT will only convert a document that ends in .pdf. Attachments end in .php no matter what kind of file they are.

rladner 10-21-2009 12:59 AM
