a festive Thanksgiving forum style

Fall is here, and Thanksgiving (my second favorite holiday) is right around the corner.

'Give Thanks' features -
  1. Many original images
  2. a Thanks button for those who use the Post Thanks mod
  3. Separated forum categories
  4. XHTML 1.0 transitional

Installation Instructions
  1. Download the zip file to your computer and extract it (I put it on my desktop, it's easier to remember where I put it!).
  2. Open your ftp client to your server. Go to your forum's images folder, open it, and create a styles folder.
  3. Next, upload the thanks folder via FTP to your server, into the styles folder, so that your image path is images/styles/thanks/buttons, for example.
  4. After you've uploaded the folder, open your admin control panel on your forum, and import the xml file, by going to Styles & Templates > Download / Upload styles > Import Style XML File.
  5. Click on the Browse button, locate the thanks-style.xml, and double-click it so it loads in that box, then hit the Import button.
The zip file contains a 'blanks' folder where you'll find a blank header and buttons, all in PNG format, for easy editing. No PSD's are available.

Don't forget to click "mark as installed" for support!

If you have any questions, just holler.

Enjoy! https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

Hi alex,

You have not specified your forums under a category, do that and your problem will be solved...

Ohiosweetheart 10-20-2008 05:33 PM

formula_z is correct, alax, but it's hard to explain this.

If you'd like for me to take a look, I'd need admin access to your forum.

Ohiosweetheart 10-22-2008 09:50 PM

Actually, you have 6 styles installed, and all but 2 of them have a display problem.
Try uninstalling the xml file, and import it again.

alshreef1 10-22-2008 10:36 PM

That's something that you will have to do yourself, or have someone else do for you. A blank button is in the Blanks folder.

PM me your admin login and I'll try to find the problem. No guarantees, since you're having the same issue with others' styles as well.

alexchairman 10-25-2008 11:57 AM

There is no solution ............. what happen admin & Mod ??????????

Sunflower2007 10-25-2008 12:54 PM

I can't get it to work on 3.7.1

Ohiosweetheart 10-25-2008 01:21 PM

It's designed for 3.7.3. But, I'd need details to try and help.

There's no solution because I can't figure out what is wrong. You have issues with styles other than mine, as well. I have no idea what to do because I don't know what the problem is.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

alexchairman 10-25-2008 02:12 PM

Thank's for reply Friends .

Any one there to help me ?

Quarterbore 10-30-2008 08:06 PM

In your AdminCP >> Forums & Moderators >> Forums Manager you can edit your forums.

Your problem is that you have these forums at the top level (no parent) of your forums so edit your forums and select a "Parent Forum" for each one. Simply create a parent forum and set that partent as a "CATEGORY" by setting "Act as Forum" to NO!

Some styles require this to look correct and it will make life easier for you if you try to establish special permissions for parts of your site. Now, I didn't reconfigure my site to verify this is your issue but it looks like that is your problem to me too!

K4GAP 10-31-2008 09:56 PM

Always like your work, thanks and Happy Holidays.

Gary

HI

I have same thing happen like this http://chairmanmobiles.com/forums/im...yles/error.JPG

please any one tell me how to do forums under a category any please help .. :)

Ohiosweetheart 11-13-2008 11:12 AM

You have to set up your forum with categories and forums for most styles to work right.

To do this -
  1. login to your admin cp
  2. scroll down to Forums & Moderators > click on Forum Manager
  3. If you already have forums set up, You'll need to create a category, such as Community Forum or General Chat, or whatever you want. When you get to Act As Forum, select NO. This makes it a category.
  4. To move forums to that category, Make sure you select the name of that category where it says "Parent Forum".
  5. Save
  6. To add a new category, under Forums & Moderators in the left column, click on Add New Forums.
That's it.

mac27 11-13-2008 10:16 PM

Great work Ohiosweetheart as always!

That's not enough of a screenshot for me to even guess what you're talking about. A link to your site would help a whole lot.
