Can you please enable this option. It helps users find what they are looking for or check similar modifications etc..

I swear I've seen this active on vBulletin.org, note the similar mod boxes under modifications in that section, and I'm also sure they have this enabled for forum topics outside of modifications...

nexialys 10-16-2008 01:41 PM

it is not active "everywhere" but on specific forums where it is useful...

Lynne 10-16-2008 02:37 PM

Are you talking about for a specific forum? I've seen it in the Modifications forums and the Community Discussions forums. Where is it you feel it's missing?

Lizard King 10-16-2008 03:19 PM

It's not working on modification forums.

Its called "Similar Mod" underneath the first post

Lynne 10-16-2008 04:10 PM

Don't forget that it only looks for threads that were already posted. So, if you go into a vb3.5 forum and look at a Mod, it won't show similar mods that are for 3.7. (I think... unless they rebuild the Similar Threads. I could be totally wrong though since I don't use this. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Never realized that as it is probably the worst spot to have that listings.

Thanks for the tip

Guest190829 10-17-2008 12:36 AM

Well, it's not meant for SEO, it's a tool to help users not spiders. :)

Lizard King 10-17-2008 01:07 AM

Actually it has nothing to do with SEO at all. It is set on the worst place in my point ot view. It pf course changes on everyone else's opinion. Howeverr if you put it below first post you should use a different style to make it more visible.

nexialys 10-17-2008 01:17 AM

party breaker

Paul M 10-17-2008 10:35 AM

Its always been active here, but it only looks for similar threads in the modification forums (although it may be displayed in more forums, not sure without digging into the templates).

The location seems fine to us, right under the main modification post (it got moved there as part of the new style I think). Anyone is free to disagree of course, but inless I missed a post, I havent seen any specific reason given as to why.
