3.8 Heavy Metal
 

This style is free as long as it retains the "Copyright/Designed by" notice at the bottom, contact me for removal (a very small donation).

• Upload the folder named heavy_metal to your vb/images directory.
• Go to your Admin CP, Styles and Templates, Download/Upload Styles. Then browse to the folder you extracted the zip to and select the heavy_metal_style.xml file.
• Add a title and choose "no Parent Style" (unless you want to add it as a child style), Hit Import.
• Enjoy!

Yes, follow these steps:

• Upload the style (tick the "ignore style verson").
• Copy the code from the header and footer onto a text pad.
• Revert all templates.
• re-add the codes for the header and the footer to the reverted templates, save.
• Done!

Are we allowed to modify colors in the template? Make it a less blackish, or maybe whte, and convert the texts to black? Is this allowed, or do I have to take special permission? Or put in an 'altered by'?

You request not to be PMed, however I was wondering if your similar, yet whiteish/black style that you have on your site will be released or available for purchase.

I have been looking for a black/white style and yours is not only the best so far, but in reality there really is not much out there in those colours for 3.7.x, let alone be 3.8b2 ready

Sorry, I don't. I have no plans on releasing the style on my site, I've been using that particular one for years. I'll think about creating a free white style for here, but right now I have no time for custom work.

Outstanding work! This is the best style out there. I wasn't going to upgrade if I couldn't find a newer version and here it is. Works great on my 3.7.4 board!

Where do I add a link to the center or right side of the splash? I can't find the code to add a link to my store. The left is already linked to the forum home, but I can't find where to add a link to the center or right.

I don't do custom work but will help you out in saying:

I built the header in a table so all you need to do is copy how the HTML is written for the link on the left side and add your link to the right site. You will probably want to add your banner or graphic to the hmsplashright.jpg image. Or just add a banner and center it right under the header with a link, that would look nice. :)

I have a site about to go live, i have used some of the gradients from this package, rather than the entire thing. I like them very much. I have put "Skins Designed by Military Ltd" with Military Ltd linked to your site at the bottom with the other copyright info. I just wanted to make sure this was ok, and that i wasn't missing any other copyright info from the template or anything. Let me know if i need to add any others lines of text. I will more than likely end up donating soon as well.
