v3.7.002.Fixed error the width in styles fixed

Forum Lover 10-11-2008 07:16 AM

Actually this is not an error, u need to reformat it according to your own sizes. Si?uNoopy thanks for releasing it for free. :)

haothiencz 10-11-2008 07:57 AM

simple resize by width and height to whatever you need ;)

mark as installed

veenuisthebest 10-11-2008 10:34 AM

Excellent one Si?uNoopy and thank you for this.

1. The custom field SHOULD be set to type PRIVATE. So that the "Wid" code is not visible to everybody.
2. The setting variable should be type Boolean. Though FREE isn't wrong. But when yesno is the option code, its better to use Boolean type.

If somebody wants, you can download this cleaned .xml. Have removed the loads of instructions in the setting group as well. Its better in PC :D

And a better description for your Wid CODE custom field:-

Quote:

Stay connected and chat via Yahoo Messenger from Tech555 profile. Learn more about <a href="http://messenger.yahoo.com/pingbox/" target="_blank">Yahoo Messenger Pingbox</a>. You can get your Wid CODE by visiting <a href="http://messenger.yahoo.com/pingbox/studio/" target="_blank">Yahoo! Messenger Pingbox - Studio</a>. Simply generate, then copy and paste the provided <strong>wid</strong> code in the following field.<br /><br />
Ex: <em>wid=hlkhsdgLKHHDlkahshaLKhdaKJH_g</em>
And ofcourse, replace my site's name with yours ;)

haothiencz 10-11-2008 10:58 AM

nice suggestion,

I have made some template edit to make it works on my 3.6.x

the field shoube be privated.

But what can you do with Wid id if even it set to be public ?

Well... I haven't tested it..! But don't you think if wid code is set to public. And someone copies it into his profile, and if the real user is online at the same time, then the one who copied can chat with that account as well.

Edit: alright, i just noticed that the wid-code still displays in the source page. So, its not a security issue. This probably means that Pingbox and Yahoo messenger have to opened/logged in from the same PC.

But still there's no harm in making it a private field as there's no meaning to display it to the world.

because with meebo you have to login at meebo site and this is the only way to be able to use widget.

Thats pretty cool.. I just tested that.

Is there a code change somewhere for it to appear on the left hand side in its own box ?

veenuisthebest 10-12-2008 07:23 PM

Find this in plugin code:-

PHP Code:

'hook_location' => 'profile_left_last'

and replace witih this:-

PHP Code:

'hook_location' => 'profile_right_first'

BucWiLd 10-12-2008 07:59 PM

1. Did you change fieldX from the plugin code ?
2. Did you create the Custom field and entered the correct WID CODE from Yahoo Pingbox site into the field.

There's the problem. There are two instances of it. Just look carefully !

not in template.

In the plugin... in the plugin manager.

ArnyVee 10-18-2008 05:13 PM

This is awesome! Thanks to SieuNoopy for the mod and Veenuisthebest for the modifications to the mod :D

Got it all installed and in the right side of the profile.

You can check it out here: http://www.waltdisneyboards.com/members/wdbarnyvee.html

I'm still wanting to test it with other folks on the boards to see how well it truly works. But, everything looks good up to now.

ArnyVee 10-18-2008 05:14 PM

Whoops....forgot to add another thing.

I noticed that the images when you had them in the 'visitor message' area of the profile went to 404 pages when you clicked on them. Are those going to the right URLs?

hi arny.. what images are you talking about ?

The profile CSS ?

It looks fine to me in my profile!

ArnyVee 10-18-2008 05:51 PM

When you actually set it up in the 'tabs' section of the profile. You have those two images (one above the 'pingbox' and the other below) and when you click on them, they take you to 404 screens.

Since I have it moved to the right like on your site, it doesn't cause me any issues. But, for those that choose to keep it on the 'tabs' section, it could cause some issues.

ArnyVee 10-23-2008 01:32 PM

So, just to make sure....do we adjust the size of the 'player' based on what we select during the 'create my pingbox' piece? Is there a way to make them all a default size so that we don't have someone create a huge one and throw off the look of their profile entirely?

Right now, the size is a bit small as you can only see one message or so. I'd like to make it 'taller' and see at least a couple of messages that folks type out.

veenuisthebest 10-23-2008 02:06 PM

The size is set as per defined in the plugin.

If you look at the plugin, its 270 tall right now. Make it 370 ;)
check out my profile for a demo.
