vBAdvanced Module: Latest Album Pictures
 
Latest / Random Album Pictures vBA CMPS Module by https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/12/22.png

Description:

This will add a CMPS block to your vBadvanced CMPS portal page.
It will display the "Latest or Random Album Pictures" in your vBulletin forums.

Features:
  • Username link to profile.
  • Picture link to album.
  • Picture Author
  • Picture Description
  • Album Title
  • Maximum number of pictures to be displayed
  • Maximum Album Pictures Per Row
  • Show Only Selected Users Pictures
  • Enable or Disable Album Titles
  • Enable or Disable Picture Description
  • Maximum Characters of Picture Description to Display
  • Sorting Of Pictures: order by dateline or order by random
  • Username HTML Markup (fetch_musername)
  • Uses exec_switch_bg (Reads $bgclass and returns the alternate table class)

Tested on:
  • vBulletin 3.7.x
  • vBulletin 3.8.x
  • vBadvanced CMPS v3.1.0

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Go to your Forums --> Admincp --> vBa CMPS -->
Download / Upload Module --> Module to Upload -->
Select albumpictures.xml file from your Computer --> than Submit.

upload "vba_cmps_include_template.php" file to your forums/includes folder overwrite..

I just installed it thanks.

One thing I noticed is that it can mess with your fixed width vbadvanced layout. Do I have to manually edit the php module to fix it?

How do I edit this to make it find my pictures correctly? Currently it's linking pictures as www.cosrtoc.net/albums when it should be linking them as www.cosrtoc.net/forums/albums

Nevermind...figured it out. Had to edit template adv_portal_latest_album_pictures_bit to add the full URL in front of album.php etc.

Right now I have the comments on Forum home since I use vBulletins albums
after I dropped photopost pro.

2nd idea: Could you make the add-on in acp definable from which usergroups
only the album pictures will be shown?

No this is Module for vBAdvanced CMPS
you must import it via admincp -> vbadvanced cmps -> upload/download modules

I imported the xml through cmps but it doesnt show. what am i doing wrong. is there another step after i import it?

im such a noob. i got it thanks. works great. One question though is there a way to set it so that it shows random pictures? or maybe a code modification? Thank you. GREAT WORK HASSAN YOU DEF ON OF MY FAVS

You must to edit the adv_portal_latest_album_pictures_bit template, replace with this:

i just downlad this module but when i try to upload via admincp / vBa CMPS / Download / Upload Module
always have the same error "The file you have uploaded is not a valid module file."

what im doing wrong?

Can this module be configured to show just a single album? We have a competition on our forum and I'd like to display the winners on the vba homepage, via an album.

Is that something that would be possible? I'm fairly new to Vb, and still struggling with the coding etc!
