F1 fantasy league if just like the fantasy you see on ITV
users will choose there constructors drivers and team
they will also choose the order they will finish in 1st 2nd 3rd

This system does not auto update all info the admin would have to enter in them selfs.

This is a beta version and plan to have a full release of this for the next season.

Please make a backup of your database before installing any new mod.

This has been tested and is working as it should be for this release.

Oh wow, really interesting mod. Is there any chance of any other sports coming out of this? Football or basketball would be HUGE.

I am planning on making football and maybe a few others.
I have been working on this for some time to get everything working right so when i am happy with this i will start on another one.

This is great for lovers of the sport.
But my question is whether it being 3 major awards can be used for the next season?

I think it'd be pretty cool for football, but if it was manual, it'd require a TON of manually input data. If you could somehow pull it from ESPN or NFL, that'd be sick. :P

we mostly into football so when that's out then i'll consider this hack..good job though.:up:

I'll definitely look forward to a football version of this.

i am looking for ways to have this auto update but you would have to pay for some if not all the rss feeds to get the info you need.
i will keep looking for a way to sort it out.

if/when i start the next Fantasy system it most likely be football

This looks like a great mod so time to fire up the test server and start playing :)

Couple of questions:

1. I would like to run a MotoGP fantasy league, as the MotoGP structure is very similar to F1 (i.e. constructors, riders, points etc) would it be feasible to rephrase the mod to use MotoGP terms?
2. Is it possible to run multiple fantasy leagues? It would be great if I could run a MotoGP and an F1 fantasy league at the same time on the same site.
3. If somebody signs up mid season, do they get allocated points from previous races?
4. How does the mod handle season to season driver/constructor changes. For example, if Coulthard is retiring at the end of this season so he will go and a new driver will come in, so if somebody is looking through old races/seasons will Coulthard still be there if he has been removed from the existing season.
5. Is there anything to handle temporary drivers? For example if De La Rosa stands in for Hamilton at a race what would happen if he won?

EDIT: Installed on test server and all seems to be working as expected, a couple of questions/suggestions:

1. After you signup you are told to go visit the "F1 Team Manager" where is the link for this?
2. On signup the mod asks for a firstname/lastname this seems to be used on the Leaderboard, can this be changed in the templates without breaking the mod?
3. It would be useful if on the "View Race Info" ACP page it showed which results points have been awarded or maybe disable the "Award Points" link

EDIT : A couple of phrase "bugs":

On resign page:

"Many thanks for being a member of are league, And all the best to you."

Should be:

"Many thanks for being a member of our league, and all the best to you."

On signup page (if the user has already signed up):

"If you need to make changes to your chooses then goto F1 Team manager."

should be:

"If you need to make changes to your choices then goto F1 Team manager."

On the "Race Top 3" & "Constructors" boxes on the left:

Winner, Second, 3rd

Should really be:

Winner, Second, Third

EDIT: Couple of other bugs:

When deleting race results you get the following phrase error:

"Could not find phrase 'mmfantasyleague_raceinfo_deleted'."

The constructor image for BMW Sauber points to:

"/forums/images/mmfantasyleague/constructors/bmwSauber.gif"

it should be

"/images/mmfantasyleague/constructors/bmwSauber.gif"

Yes this could be used for the motoGP if it works the same way.

You can make a copy of this script and rename the info so it would work for you and rename the database tables.

No they would not they would only get the points from when they signed up.

This has not been added just yet but wanted to get a working version of this out to see if there was intrest.

You can change this to anything like a username or players name anything you want.

Thats a good idea so when its been run it would not let you award these points again.

i installed this nice hack properly on vb 3.7.2, i edited permissions too, but i can't see F1 fantasy league when i login to my board, can you help me, please?

Could not find phrase 'mmfantasyleague_cp_redirect'.

it happens when i try turning it off or on (the module)

This is not an error you can add this yourself

goto Languages & Phrases and click on Phrase Manager
then click add new phrase

Phrase Type ---- error messages
Product -------- mmfanticyleague
Varname -------- mmfantasyleague_cp_redirect
Text ------------ Settings Updated

That will remove that missing phrase message

this would be mod of the year if it could automatically pull scores for the major sports... football basketball... etc

I will be doing more of these but wanted to see how this one went.

I am working on a way to auto update these in the F1 system at this time.

I vote for making this into a POKER LEAGUE TOURNAMENT POINT TRACKER!

example, 10 players per game, 25 games in a season... points awarded F1 style.
10 for first
8 for second
6 for third
5 for fourth
4 for 5th
3 for 6th
2 for 7th
1 for 8th
0points for 9 and onwards...

stats for tournament leader board
total points
PPG

Also, have multiple tournaments possible, just have people create a league and invite their 10 players to join...

I'll definitely pay $$ for this...

I am watching this one with great interest. When/If this one ever gets opened up to difference sports I'll be all over this for my forum.

Wow. A Fantasy Football League will be wonderful.

it would be good however the guys website is more or less dead - i posted there asking a question a number of days ago and still no response, his other mods seem to have no support and therefore am worried about downloading this and installing this on my site.

Just an idea but "Engine supplier" might spice things up a bit more.

Whats the matter ?
Have we a chance to get a new full version for the next season ?

Is this mod going to be finished in time for the new season? I want to install it but I'm holding off for a final version.

Ive just spent ages updating the race calendar and drivers to find that the F1 Race Manager isn't active so edits arent available to your team in this release.
