Not understanding what you are trying to convey with the message:

"Disclaimer: Messages for control by the administration"

salman22 09-25-2008 01:40 PM

Sorry ...

Note: Private Messages control by the administration

Vossi 09-25-2008 03:51 PM

What is the point of this?

Hostboard 09-25-2008 04:03 PM

The only thing I can think of is if you have added the ability to read user PMs that this would serve as a notice to let users know that PMs are not private or secure.

BoYagoob 09-25-2008 05:09 PM

Very nice, but the question is: How can the Admins read or control members' PMs?

To read or controll PM's of the members is... lemme say... dumb shit! No admin has the right to read or controll the user's PM's. :mad:

I think we're missing the point here guys, where it states "Private Messages control by the administration" you can edit this to serve as a pre warn notice, for example...

"Please do not use the PM system for Spam Messages, members who do, are liable to have their PM priviages removed"

This would just be a warning for members to think twice before attempting to spam anothers PM box. Sounds like a good addition.

i feel that salman22's lack of english may of given the wrong impression of what this edit could do.

I'm gonna give it a shot

:D

Works a Treat, heres what i put in mine,

Code:

<script type="text/javascript">
alert("Please do not use the PM system for Spam Messages, members who do, are liable to have their PM priviages removed");
</script>

You can off course change the message to suit whater message you what your members to know.

Have fun ;)

1. Don't use bad words in this forum. :down: Keep them for yourself. :)

2. Give me your forum address, so I will send advertisements or my forum address to all of your members. :D

3. Also, admins will read the PMs while the whooooooooole members are notified that the PMs can be read by admins. :up:

4. Advice: keep your private things not only away from the internet, but also away from your own PC. ;)

Regards,
cheers
