What dose this mod do?

This mod is a time saver for big forums Admins and Moderators, this mod will place two buttons one for quick soft delete and the 2nd for quick physical delete.

This mod was tested on vBulletin 3.7.3 and 3.7.2 and *should* work on 3.6.x and 3.5.x

Install time: less than 1 minute
Difficulty: easy (1 product)

List of features:

  1. Inhert the permissions from vbulletin usergroup permissions.
  2. A conformation popup message will apper for physical deletion.
  3. If the thread contain only 1 post it will auto delete the thread.
  4. when an Admin/Moderators soft delete a post an auto messeage will apper( This message has been deleted by XXXX) where XXXX will be the username of the admin or modrator who deleted the post.
  5. Auto Reload Page after deletion ( you can enable/disable it)
How to install?
  1. Click Mark as installed and Nominate for Modification of the Month. :D
  2. Upload files to your server.
  3. Import product.
  4. The 1st button is for soft delete and the button is for physical delete

where is the usergroup permissions option ?
and the page is not refreshing automatically after i delete a post

If you read the features list it's stated that it will inherit the permissions from the user group permissions which mean if you set from the usergroup manager that admins can do physical delete then they can delete

and about the refreshing it's in my to do list and i will update it soon (1 to 2 days) :)

Edit: you can set permissions from:

AdminCP ==>Forums & Moderators ==>Show All Moderators then edit permissions for the moderator you want

not working, I have bluedemon style, vbulletin 3.7.3. Not showing icons. I upload icons in images/bluedemon/buttons/

you have to upload it to the default button directory i.e (/forums/images/buttons)

From the look of the screen shots, the buttons could be improved, however great little mod, I look forward to seeing those few things being improved and I might install it then. thanks.

Well you can just change the button with your own button that fits your style ,just like the POST Thank you hack. note: make sure that the images are named same as the original ones

and after all only admins and moderators will be able to see it so look won't mater that much ;)

Hi ...

I suggest the follow replacement:
<img src="images/buttons/quickdelete_delete.gif" ... /> with <img src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/quickdelete_delete.gif" .. />

Well I'm using this because a lot forum owners have more than 1 style (like 5+) so if i use the other way they will have to upload the image to all the styles.

This mod was made for lazy people like me :D

Hmm..not working for me. I uploaded the images to the correct location but they don't show up for some reason.

Hopefully I can figure it out because this is really needed...

EDIT: I got it working. For some reason it wasn't automatically enabled after importing :-)

For some reason though if I keep refresh turned on it won't delete the posts. So I keep it turned off. Either way is fine.

make sure you upload it to the default buttons folder i.e (forum_root/images/buttons)

close to what I have been looking for but not quit it yet. What I am looking for is when my member soft deleted their posts, I have to go through page by page and manual remove them. Is there away that we can make the trash can button clickable so that when we admin/S.mod clicks on that trash can icon, it will list all the soft deleted posts?

thanks much, and I think you should create that hack seperately from this mod. Once you click on the trash can icon, it will list all the soft deleted posts so that the admin has the full option to undelete or physical delete it ....
