xbox 360 (FX) forum- have a look
 

Just looking for other opnions from fellow VB owners on my latest venture, and xbox 360 forum.

be gentle, its my only attempt with a VB software.

same bland bloat 3rd party style for xBox... the software have nothing to do with your site, if you have the exact same image that all the other xBox sites is using, you are then dissipated in the mist...

I agree, the images look alright, but the xbox look has been done so many times that it's become unimpressive. Some of the images also seem a little large.

Overall I would just focus on making sure that you're always providing good content for people. Maybe try to think up some unique marketing methods which makes your xbox forum features better than the many other similar sites.

Gaming sites and gaudy graphics usually go hand in hand?pretty much a reflection of the subject matter?but I have to agree with the above posters that the Xbox look has been done to death.

Though, to be honest, I have a hard time looking at any general gaming site without a jaundiced eye. There are just too many of them. It sometimes seems as if everyone who own a particular console creates a forum dedicated to it.

But in attempt to be constructive, do a Google search on Xbox and vBulletin: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...in&btnG=Search. As you can see, there are a whole lot, and that's even putting aside forums that aren't running vB. But maybe you can look at these sites and come up with some ideas to help your forum stick out from the crowd somewhat.

I actually run a gaming forum and I can tell you personally, it isn't worth it. Its hard to run because they are so many. You need contests and stuff.

Sorry, I've lost far too many x-boxes to that. I think that should make an appearance.

I quite like the look of the style. Only because I don't get to view many console related sites (because I'm just not a console type person). So Personally, visually, I like the style though in reality the visuall side is nothing to be concerned about because these newly created sites are mostly likely to fail due to the niche that your entering.

I'd suggest creating a site dedicated to the zx81. :)

Regardless of the comments, you'll be hard pushed in being remotely interest within the next 6 months because the competition is truly immense. Goodluck to you. :)

here is my gaming site and we have been around for a while so its a lot of trial and error - were not huge but we have the base we are looking for - that's a good skin ( i know some sites that changed that same skin up and it came out nice) I got my skins form the same place and they do great work ..

Okay.. Here's something to put in the mix. LOL How come so many grown men play video games? Just curious. LOL I'm not a fan of a ton of graphics so I'm not inclined to like this style and I have to agree with others, I've see it many many times.

I think right now theres alot of older gamers but eventualy they will die out :) lol what i mean is games are fairly new so who knows whats to come for further generations.
