Report PMs
Allow users to report private messages sent on your forum. Upon being reported, messages are posted in the specified forum with information from the private message.

This seems much better than the old report PM hack (now in the graveyard anyway), because this posts reported PM's to a forum.

I get loads of pm's complaining about spam through the pm system so now they can just report it

This is now default in 3.8 but thanks for releasing it for 3.7 for the time being.

Since ths is creating a post from the user be sure to disable post counts in that section.

i saw a bug for plural pm sending
maybe i couldnt explain myself,i will give an example

i send a pm to ONLY "root"
if "root" or i report it,they will write "To: root"
here is k

but,if i send a pm to "root ; admin", so 2 users
and if anyone report it,will be writing "To: rootadmin"
there is no space,no comma,not another thing
you can add an option for that?
if not only A user, will write like "To: root, admin"
but,if only A user, will write like "To: root"

Whoah, didn't mean to step on your toes there Dismounted. This is about the second time i release something similar to another member here. To be honest, I don't browse the modifications here much.. If you read above you'll see that i had a member contact me in private and ask me to develop this for him. Anyways, great modification yourself :p It is indeed nice to see how people address different modifications, etc.

The more available the better I say, competition is good for the customer but I think Jelsoft beats you both on this hack. This was needed by default for some time. :)

When you say Jelsoft beats boths hacks means that the forum has it by default, do you know if 3.7.3 has it?, I just upgraded from 3.6.x to 3.7.3.

If so, where can I find it on the forum.

It's in 3.8.0 which is only running live at vBulletin.com right now. I would expect them to release pretty soon.

I am receiving this error on report: (on 3.7.4)

We have vBulletin® Version 3.7.4 and it doesn't show up in the PM section.
I have Report PMs Enabled? to Yes
I set the forum id to where the reports will go.
Please advise.

I didn't read through now, but this is the problem there is:
if somebody hits the button twice, then he gets transported to the thread. But as the user doesn't have permission to see the thread, he gets an error.

Besides: Would be great if there was the possibility to enter a message text or to even have to click "okay". I'm thinking about persons who simply click on it to see what happens ;)

The forum where the reported PMs are placed is one that the normal user can't see .. that's clear.
But which permissions in the forums do I have to set, so I don't have to moderate each and every report? I don't get it.
