Um - yeah... Not that I pride myself on the amount of infractions I've accumulated here at the .org over the years for being blatantly RIGHT and not giving a damn about the consequences :rolleyes: But I am just a bit curious... And as a tried-and-true citizen of vBulletin.org - I wonder -- and hopefully this thread will not be deleted because it's important for vBulletin.org citizens to know these important things -- Does vBulletin.org make use of the vBulletin automatic ban feature? If yes - What are the particulars of the policy? Like - One has 700 infractions points LOL hahahahha! Just teasing - Obviously one would be in the outter paramisphere of vBHeaven with that many points tehehehe... ((yes "outter paramisphere" is a term I just made up which can be defined as being somewhere between ludicrosity of misfittism and perfect information asymmetry :D )) Um... Yeah - Infractions Points/Autoban --- What is the definitive policy?

yes there's a autoban for 1 week when user accummulates 60 infraction points. Now don't ask me how do i know this lol..:D

I don't know why, but i look at this question like a startup for flaming of the terms changes because of someone's behavior...

You know Jacquii that these rules can change in any situation, some admin can ban you even if you did not break a major rule... you know how vBulletin Infraction work, so why ask... you just try to tease the guys and push the limit to see if you will be banned for a non-sense...

actually anyway, i'm sure i have more infractions than anybody else, at least in Marco's mind... he likes to kick my butt in private, you could not imagine how much fun we have with this.

though as my friend Marco always try to remind me, i'm not at home here, i just have the privilege to participate, i did not pay for that right... and even if it would be a right, i would have to follow the rules of behavior and wellfare to make my right a pride. So each time Marco or Paul kick me with an infraction, a warning or even some ban, i take it as i am not at home...

when you go visit the neighbour, you follow your own rules or you try to follow the neighbours rules ?!... and when you go visit that neighbour, do you ask him "what are the rules here?!" ???

well that's good how marco likes to kick your butt in private, it really is. because marco likes to remove valid submissions that I make in the image database. I guess it's one rule for one and another for the people.

So why is it nexy you get different treatment? and when it comes to infractions?

I don't think i get any different privilege by being kicked in private instead of publically... i don't know for you, but when i go visit your profile, i do not see any warning or infraction displayed.. that means all your warning goes private between you and the warner...

i gave Marco's example here, but i can tell i was warned in public most of the time by most of the moderators here... so when the "you are not a moderator so stop acting like one" period was very active, i received tons of warnings... not always from the infraction system, mainly directly in posts of the thread... i think that worth more than just a warning in private.

some are PMing me with a "stop before it goes too far and i have to infract you" comment... i like that... but sometimes the guys do not have the time to PM, because the situation goes bad before they get up in the morning... they have to strike.

you saw some of your releases deleted for some reason ?!... that's bad, but i suppose there was a reason. if you go against that reason and come back again with the same kind of release, it's good to warn you... i know you are not a pirate who like to break rules, so maybe you could ask a moderator "before" you release things...

as example, i asked the admins about posting a Review for THCfarmer first... waited the admins to answer if it was correct to post it, because the site have illegal content in some countries, etc...

I have just checked all graphics submissions by you that are currently in the GRaveyard, and all where deleted on authors wish. If you think i have removed a thread of you without a valid reason, then feel free to PM me the details about this.

Could be interesting I suppose - but the difference is I AM at home - And no - I don't intend on flaming within this thread - I posted it because I'm curious as to what the vBulletin.org policy is... And NEXY - you're not a vBulletin.org Administrator so why bother with the lengthy bit of.......... Colloquialisms? LOL ---- Interesting thing is thus far the only Admin who has commented the thread has obviously not answered the question. Not interesting at all really - quite curious though... Sure you are, it's hard to find people with so much education, spreading her voice and great words to all here...

why would I want to pm you marco? Because I reported posts in the community area you took it upon yourself to remove two of my submissions because you got peeved off with me reporting threads. I then returned by leaving 50 submissions still in the database whilst removing the submissions in the 1 area that you removed the two from which where valid.

I'm sure flaming other members is one good way to get an infraction. Stealing imagery is another, but you wouldn't know anything about that. In fact, let's just not go there, I'll make one more comment in your image submission of which you've flipped out about, and leave it at that. It's not my job to police this place, I just noted an extreme, no near exact replica of images with minor editing done to them.

As far as the thread question, personally I don't know, I've never got an infraction from here, I only get them from vb.com and yes I think there is some bias in the system, as bias is human nature. Some members the staff of either site naturally are going to like better than others, and as human as they are, they will sometimes have there decisions of warnings, infractions, and bans based upon that.

It's natural human behavior, no one is completely unbiased, unless you hate or love everyone incarnate.

On a sidenote, Shelly is a good designer, I like some of her image work that she's done. But when I seen that editor release you made after mine, I was very alarmed to see the similarities in images chosen if not the exact same one's in a different format. It looked good, but I kept thinking, strange how close it was to my design. Who knows, maybe we both have similar tastes.

However while off topic I have seen vbimageworks sell a skin to schoolconverse.com that used a copyrighted image, not made by them. It was the Network image used in the banner. Piracy of images is going to happen no matter what, and it's up to the original authors of said material or there attorneys to have it taken down. However reselling an style or design with a copyrighted image is illegal as you are using other creators artwork/design to enhance your income while offering the original artist no royalties. They might have changed there site design again, and it might not be there anymore, and vbimageworks might have had an agreement with the original creator of that image, but if not it's a crime. Again, I'm not a detective I just contacted the author months back when I seen it and advised him of both the design site and the site which the design was laid out on.

You had better make good on your accusations LOA. I have never seen your editor release therefore, how could I copy anything from you? All my creations are my own and created from scratch and are my own. I ceratinly don't need to copy anything from you now or ever.

Again LOA, If you make accusations, You had better make sure you have the facts. I have never sold a style. The style your referring to is design by vbskinworks . Not me. And I highly doudbt that john owner of vbskinworks would use copyright material when he is a victim of copyright theft himself.

I seen it with my own eyes Shelley, my own eyes. The facts are straight, and the style as I stated was most likely taken down because I'm sure the author contacted the owner of which the style was on, since I pm'd him that he should ask that guy, as the owner of the site didn't want to get in trouble. The one I'm referring to in the footer said vbimageworks, and again the style has been changed, it is no longer there. Of which I'm not surprised.

I never released my editor, only images of it were shown on this forum and another, and your design matched near exactly mine. That is indisputable, except mine looks better, and I can't release it here. Again, facts. I also wouldn't release it here since I worked for months on it.

So basically, Your going around making accusations. You show me the one image you think is copyrighted and I will show you the psd. What was the name of the style? Because your claim is without proof.

I didn't page screen the damn skin that was made for that site, so no I concede to not having the evidence, but I can also fully state with good conscience that I'm telling the truth and I know what I've seen. It's ok, maybe you dreamed that you didn't do it.

It was a style with the Network icon I believe from MAC's set of icons for there pc, it was enlarged and put into a banner on the website I stated.

My editor icons I showed once or twice in the Board Submission forum, I can go search and find them for you. I also posted them on admin zone.com, and multiple times on my own board.

My claim here isn't that you stole MY icons, my claim is that they are near identical which I found startling at how identical they were. Finishing with a positive note above that maybe "we think alike". Don't be arrogant.

I'm not going around making accusations either, the starter of this thread won't show there psd of how they made the images in the there release, which spurred the making of this thread. When they look near exactly like...in a basic form of non-colored or affects added, the same exact icons.

Another one finally admitted to me he didn't make the icons or design them, he just found them and released them as a png set here. Which if he's not the original author he isn't allowed to do so.

I might be able to even go pull out the old private messages I had with the owner of that forum, and show you the discussion we had on that skin, I even posted it on the admin zone forums to.
