What is Qur'an? Muslims believe that the Qur'an is words of God which He revealed to His last Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him).

This mod will be further updated and supported in 3.8 section, here

I've decided to share this mod upon the request of few users. This mod should work on 3.7 and 3.6. I don't know about 3.5 or lower versions.

Mod Description: This mod lets the users on your board read the Glorious Qur'an in Arabic and interpretation of the meaning in 25 different languages.

You can find the readme file in the attached file and vbseo version can also be found in the attached file.

Install time: approx 2-3 mins.

Question: Can you please translate this mod in language "A"?
Answer: This mod contains 25 different languages: Albanian, Azerbaijani, Bosnian, Brazilian, Dutch, 3 English, Finnish, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Malaysian, Mexican, Polish, Portugese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Thai, Transliteration, Turkish, 2 Urdu. So, please do not request for a language if it can be found in this list.

- Set default language for your forum
- Set number of ayaat to display on one page
-Added Different Colours for some of the languages
-User's selection of different languages is handled using AJAX

-Known Bugs and Limitations
- The Qur'aan (Arabic text) is fixed as default.
- Weird character maybe displayed for some of the languages
- Multiple Page selection destroys the use of AJAX; so users have to reselect the languages
if they were viewing the meaning of the Qur'aan in non-default languages.

just save the files in utf-8 before upload and install

i made a script with a link to every sura in the past ,,, and all it links was taken from islamway.com

i will check if i still have it , .

we only have the abridged version of tafsir ibn kathir in english and adding the tafasir is extensive work. If other people request then I'll add it, insha'Allah but it won't be any time soon. The MP3 files will be added in version 1.5 and after the Ramadan.

added the demo link; as far concerning your first question, sorry can't support it but it is certainly possible if you get the content and setup the database table yourself.

The English interpretation is by Imam Pickthall (May Allah have mercy on him).

More Languages would be very nice. i.e turkish or german

I'll try to fix the utf-8 problem on the weekend and change the look a bit for future development. For other features, you will have to wait for few weeks.

^you need to change the html character set to windows-1256. Follow the last step in the readme.text file.

good news everyone, I got my hands on utf-8 Arabic text so the new change will be up very soon so as a result windows-1256 will not be supported anymore.

ok, this is very strange because it is working on my board. There seems to be an issue with retrieving data from the database.

Go to: Admin Control Panel -> Maintenance -> Execute SQL Query
Insert this query in the "Manual Query" textbox and click on continue
Let me know if you get any result back.

I get:

error number: 1146
error desc: Table 'smiggy_gupshupp.vbquran' doesn't exist

on quran_install.php
change :
INSERT INTO `vbquran`
to :
INSERT INTO `quran`

Still no luck.

I think, now i know what the problem is. I can't believe I mad this mistake.

As far concerning the images; the images are really big and there might be performance issue but if you really want it then I can spend sometime to make it available only for your board. For others, I'm simply going to stick to the text; the massive language pack will be uploaded very soon.
