New Games
I have placed many games into a category that only admins can see. Yet when a user in the "Registered Users" usergroup goes to the arcade, they see a list of new games that have been installed the ones in the admin area are on the list. When the click on it, it says they do not have permission to play this game.
Is there a way to make it so that if a user does not have access to the game, it does not show up on any listing that they might see? |
can you help me ..because i also will add some games in another category but do not know how? and make them visible to my vip members

than you must use a Password for your admin category go to Arcade | Categories -> add a password for your admin cat |
That is not really the point here. I want the "new games" to ignore the games in the "admin" area since the users do not have access to that area. They already cannot access that area, but it shows the new games in that area to all users as "new games".
How do I stop this? |
Do what I wrote when you don't want, that the games in the "admin" area will displayed as "new games". No other way is at moment possible - this is the point!
|
I had already done that. That does not change the reason for this post. I was just hoping that there was a way to hide games from users that cannot access them. It just seems a bit silly to display games in the "new" or "popular" areas if the user cannot play them. There should be a way to allow certain game categories to be exempt from those listings.

I believe the thinking was to generate a way to get people interested in moving over the restricted games user group. That areas is hard coded I believe, so I don't think there's a way to do this, without suggesting it in the future versions thread.

OK, I have not seen an upgrade in awhile. Where do I go to suggest features.
|
It's a Sticky in this same section. The last upgrade was not too many months ago, if I'm not mistaken. Also, I believe MrZeropage is out of town or on vacation for a while, but last I heard there's a new version in the works.

I have a g rated site and several members that volunteer to rate the arcade games in special category. I would like to be able to hide the games from those that do not have permission to play or view them as well.
I will second your feature request. ;) |
