Brand New Board getting a Search Error when I test it out?
 
Just doing some test searches and its giving me a database error?
What could this be, its a brand new board?

To troubleshoot this, please remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

Do you get this error with all modifications diabled and original source files?

I really doubt it as the offending part of the query does not look like a default vB query to me.

Ive Disabled them all. Im still getting it. The Member search worked right when I turned the Paypal donate feature off but I still cant do a regular search.

Go to Maintenance > Diagnostics > Suspect File Versions and I'll bet some files show up that are part of a modificaiton. Remove those files (if they are not vb files) or replace those files (if they are vb files) and see if you still get the error.

Try removing the files related to itrader (at least. I know that is a modification.)

When installing modifications, you need to add one at a time and test your board inbetween adding each one. That way, when you get errors, you know which modification is causing it. At that point, you should go back over all the installation instructions and make sure you didn't miss a step. If you still have errors, then when you disable the modification, you need to remove all of the files and template edits also.

OK, if you have removed all files from modifications, turned off all plugins/products, are using a totally default style, then the only thing left to do is to reupload all the original vb files.

If that doesn't work, then I suggest you put in a Support Ticket.
