Hide the post title area and the default icon when there is no title
This modification hides the area where a post's title is shown if there is no title and the user hasn't chosen a post icon. I think it looks cleaner this way.

One of the little tweaks I've always wanted! Thanks for the release. :)

You're welcome. It's a really simple change, and could also be done with a template edit, but this way is easier for future upgrades. :)

Installed, thanks alot.

Hi,
good idea. But on my site the title field gets pre-filled with re: topic, so users will have to remove the title manually. Here on vb.org it`s different. Any ideas how to prevent that "Re: topic-tilte" to get inserted automatically? thank you - all the best, Sacha |
This works with v3.6.4. Good hack.

nice job! ;)

This is a default vBulletin feature. No title, and with no default post icon, it won't show (without this mod)
Go to vBulletin Options > Thread Display Options (showthread) and remove what's in "Show Default Post Icon" :) |

Actually there's a slight difference. When you do it from the ACP, it also hides the title for the first post whereas if you use this xml file, it doesn't. Thanks so much for this great add on! :)
