Huge blank space

1 Attachment(s)
I've got the easy blue style installed as a default on my board. It's fixed width and there's a huge blank space to the right of the forums.

I've posted in the thread for the style, but this issue is driving my IE users crazy. It's not so bad on Firefox, IE centers the page, so on each page IE users have to scroll to see the page properly.

Anybody any ideas what would cause this space? I've attached a screenshot in case my ramblings aren't clear =D

Anyone?

I see both right & left with blank spaces, because of fixed width.

Spank 08-19-2008 05:27 PM

The space on the right is faaaaar bigger than on the left though, which is why it's a problem.

I viewed it in both FF & IE7, I see no issues.

I guess that's why you're called blind-eddie ^_^

Me and my users can see it so there is definitely a problem.

blind-eddie 08-19-2008 09:04 PM

Yep, I see it now. I did not see the bottom scroll bar.

I could not tell you without seeing the css for that style.

Spank 08-19-2008 09:05 PM

You want me to post it so you can take a look?

blind-eddie 08-19-2008 09:06 PM

Screen shot will be fine.

Spank 08-19-2008 09:10 PM

screenshot of which part?

blind-eddie 08-19-2008 09:12 PM

The width in text will be fine.

Also is there a left and right widths as well?

Spank 08-19-2008 09:17 PM

Ok, now you've lost me.

I think it's this in your footer:

HTML Code:

<table width="1500"><tr>
<td colspan="75%">
<span style="Font: 10px verdana; Color: white;">Empyron.com<br />
All Rights Reserved<br />
Mark Silverthorne
2008</td>

Look at the table width set to 1500.

Genius as usual Lynne, thank you. I remember putting that there, cos that was the only way I could figure out how to alighn the jelsoft copyright to the right, I didn't realise it was that made the huge space lol. Thanks Muchly!

I'm just glad I could help. We don't need crazy users on our boards! :D
