Exactly what I was looking for! I admin our company BB and we do allow some of our larger clients to have access. I've had registration turned off to keep unauthorized users from registering. Finally I can consider turning it back on!
Is there a way to set a new users default usergroup based on their email domain? Example: users@ourcompany.com = our company usergroup users@client1company.com = client 1 usergroup users@client2comapny.com = client 2 usergroup Each of our client companies that have access to our BB have their own usergroup and forum permissions assigned. I guess I can still moderate all new registrations and manually set their usergroup! If anyone has any suggestion on how to get this to automatically change after email confirmation, let me know! GREAT MOD! Clicked INSTALL |

If you put "@mydomain.com", it allows @mydomain.com to register.
If I want @*.mydomain.com, where * is anything to register, do I use @*.mydomain.com or do I need to specify what * is? |
This looks like a sweet mod, any chance of an update for 3.8?
... I guess I could just install it and see what happens ..., will do and report back edit: seems to work fine in 3.8, thanks for this mod, very useful indeed! |

Hi,
Wondering if generic extentions can be used or just specific... For example "@ .gov.au" adding a space to capture anything between the @ and .gov rather than @dhs.gov.au for example... Hope that makes sense? Cheers, Ian Sorry - think this same question was asked further up the thread... :-) |
I am new to Vbulletin - can someone give me some guidance on how to do the download. Do I have to download both files? Where should they be copied to?
Thanks for the help. |

Then via your sites AdminCP area, import the xml via the Plugin/Products manager. Might assist you to read the vBulletin users manual for more information regarding all aspects of the software. Regards, Ian |

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a great hack except, users are getting around it by changing their email address after registration is finished so they can activate their account. Is there anyway or a hack that can stop members from changing their email address until after a certain amount of time? |
work for 4.2
thanks |
Works for 5.0.3
Thanks! |
