Forums are under a category. What do you mean by each forums must be under a category?

PHILIPS-08 08-14-2008 07:22 AM

i have style viewing problem going on when i ask for help

thay told me >>>>

>>> The problem is you have not specified the forums under a category, each forums must be under a category do that and your problem will be solved...

Lynne 08-14-2008 02:35 PM

I think we need know what it is you are trying to do that got that response from "thay" (whoever they are).

Go to AdminCP > Forums & Moderators> Forum Manager> Edit each forum you want to appear under the category> Scroll down to Parent Forum (5th option or so down I think), and select the category you want the forum to appear under.

If you have not setup any categories yet, just create a new forum with the title of the category that you want, and make sure you set the option of Act as Forum: to no.

Hope this helps.

You should read the manual for the products you buy: Adding or Editing a Forum

You will find the answer on that page.

No, you aren't missing a navbar, but you do have all your forumhome_ templates screwed up. You have at least a sub-forum modification installed and perhaps you didn't install it correctly. I'd either remove the modification or go though all the installation instructions again and especially double-check the template modifications you had to make. If you have questions regarding that particular modification, then you should ask them in the modification thread.

To revert the template, select it in the list and then click the Revert button on the right side.

You mean which style? Whichever style is giving you the problem - in this case either style 36 or a parent of style 36 (I have no idea what you have named style 36).

PHILIPS-08 08-16-2008 03:53 PM

i don't know where is the template located ???

Admin CP > Styles & Templates > STyle Manager > find your style in the list > Edit Templates. You may hit the Expand Button, <<>>, to see all the templates. The ones in RED have been modified.

Opserty 08-16-2008 07:14 PM

I recommend you read the vBulletin Manual if you are new to vBulletin, you need to know your way around the vBulletin AdminCP if you want to modify your board (installing Mods/Styles e.t.c.).

If you hover over the cell title, you get the name of the stylevar. The cellspacing one is titled "Inner Border Width (pixels)"

PHILIPS-08 08-18-2008 06:50 PM

oh umean this >>> Inner Border Width (pixels) (This value specifies the width in pixels of the inner-border of all colored tables) it's already default value 1 :( what should i do next ??
