I think the banner would look better centered or bigger to stretch the whole width. Too many ads. Otherwise nice ^_^ 6/10

Sit down, relax, have a coffee. There we go! Feel better? You really shouldn't get so worked up. I forgot to add a link that's all.

As a note I've been told the skin doesn't show well for some people. But it does for me, so I'm not sure why that is.

8/10 Nice style.

legionofangels 08-11-2008 02:04 AM

I'm sorry I have to respond here though.

Cricket is awesome. My Ex-fiancee used to play cricket, she was Australian, I got to see a game or two. Such an awesome sport.

I'll give you some bullets:
  • Pro - clean layout
  • Pro - good color combinations, love the logo
  • Pro - good content, and great front page
  • Con - too large of avatars
  • Con - design is good but layout is kind of basic color wise, white is boring after a while
  • Con - where's the video content?

P.S. good job on the buttons to, bigger, so on a nice large monitor like I have with this pc they are easy to see on the big screen.

Overall 7/10

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For whoever that does mine I'm aware of:

* the arcade/any media system isn't done
* photoplog missing editor buttons and edit/delete buttons aren't unique
* Zoints tags aren't working when you hit a tag, it goes to a 404 error

Site is taking forever to finish! :(

Let's add 1 rule to this thread: Each member can only make 1 post in this thread.

Serious question:
What would limiting 1 post per member in this thread benefit, or prevent? Is it harming anything to the original idea that some have posted multiple links, or? What about members who hold more than one active license?

IMO, if rules need to even be set in this thread, it should be that the links posted can not contain offensive material, and that the ratings be constructive. But maybe I'm not seeing a larger picture here.

iogames 08-11-2008 09:28 PM

then lets restart this thread
I thought it was a good idea, but even good ideas got derailed...

cheat-master30 08-11-2008 09:35 PM

While I have no interest in posting in this topic, I'd say it should be one post per forum, as in one post per licensed vBulletin forum, not per user. That way, people with multiple can have ratings for each, those with one can have ratings for that, no spamming of the same board. Sound fair enough?

iogames 08-11-2008 10:11 PM

My Granny was right
the other day I left her watching my computer meanwhile I went out, when I returned she told me: 'You guys [vB Users] got too much brain to follow simple rules, that's why you never work as a team...'

Know I see what she meant :D

The problem with this is that it means if we only have one forum, we can only give one rating.

Or I could post and then say

I'VE ALREADY GOT A RATING

Which would break the thread considering my rating would be irrelevant as the next poster would have to rate it again or the forum that I rated.

It might be annoying if someone posts like 19 forums they own, or if someone keeps replying for ratings on there own, but who knows if it's beneficial in either case to the admin of those sites, who cares? Don't call it advertising either, because every post of mine could be considering advertising, well everyone elses' really since our forums our in our sigs.

I would like to know what you mean by shape?

The shape of what?

Don't worry I can take criticism and always look to improve, but what shape are you talking about, its' a webpage what shape should it be, circular? lolz

cheat-master30 08-11-2008 10:59 PM

You could always then uncheck the box to 'show your signature' after posting your forum once.

Yes, but once again, there is no point for those who have only one forum to rate anyone's other than one time only.

As I can't get another rating,

AND

Others will ignore my sig, which isn't a problem.

But that means as I said, they'll rate the one I rated as well.

Legion of Angels:

I'm not very religious. To be honest some forums I register at just for having a good personal finance topic even if it's off topic for their forum since I enjoy talking money with anyone and the more opinions I read the better. My super duper moderator loves the clouds background behind the forums. We both like the header image. I'm not a big fan of forum icon pictures but they seem to be a new thing that a low of newer forums are doing. I'm a simple guy and like my simple color change styles. I like the custom graphics for new thread, edit thread, etc. The FAQ link in the navbar can be removed if it's not being used.

I registered (and my moderator too) and will make a couple posts in threads that interest me.

My forum is a NY Forum called Discuss New York.

The next person can feel free to do the same and make a couple posts.

I think that's a nice addition to the thread if everyone makes a couple relevant posts too. :D

I like the idea of your forum, but the style seems a bit lifeless to me,I think it's the dark blue color. Also vBAdvanced has too many adverbs on the left side :(

I don't suggest you rate me,because I didn't finish the new style yet,thus I am using default,plus I just opened it,but here you go: http://www.kxdesign.com/

Jase2 08-22-2008 02:50 PM

Ziki;

Looks to be a nicely set up forum, however as you've rightly pointed out, it needs a new style and logo. I especially like the tabbed feature at the top. At the moment, I would give it a 5/10.

My forum is; http://www.techsupportteam.org/forum/

It's a good looking forum; very smooth style. For some reason your title transparency doesn't quite work in IE (older version).

9/10 rating because no one here is a perfect 10

Good color combo, layout and icons. Not sure about the logo, it does not fit with the background image, but that is a minor issue.

it did load a bit slow, but that may have been my blech connection at work.

Great topic :)

It's a brand new forum I created today. I am waiting on a vB style I have bought and I will be installing some modifications and tweaking it myself. :)

impossible to rate --- there's no posts, brandnew forum, default style - Cannot possibly rate LOL... Um... Seems quite organized for a new forum though ;)

too fast putting your site in, OTForums...

basic vB style and structure, nothing fancy on the OffTopic market... you will have to put a lot of imagination to break OffTopics.com ... 2 out of 10 for now, will review back with your site is complete!
