Yet Another Awards System
 

A lot of you have been waiting for this forever to work 100% with 3.7 due to the new profile tabs...Well wait no longer, here is the new revises version of HacNho's YAAS (Yet Another Awards System).

DESCRIPTION:
This is a Medals/Awards system. Admin can give members awards, and award icons will be displayed in member's profile, posts, as well as in a award list.

FEATURES:
In AdminCP
- Can Create/Edit/Delete/Reorder categories/sub-categories in ACP (with category name and description)
- Can Create/Edit/Delete awards in ACP (with Award Name, Description, Icon URL, Image URL)
- Can Move one (or all) award(s) from one category to another
- Can set some awards un-classified (not displayed for public)
- Can re-order awards in awards showcase
+ Issue awards to members, based on username or userid, with Issue Reason
+ Remove awards from members

In ModCP
+ Issue awards to members, based on username or userid, with Issue Reason
+ Remove awards from members

Front page
- Display awards list in with: Award Name, Description, Icon, Image, and Members who get each award.
- Display awards showcase in profile, with Award information, Issue time and reason
- Display award icons in postbit (showthread, showpost, announcement, private)

CHANGES/MODIFICATION:
- Tables to add: 3 (award, award_user, award_cat)
- Files to add: 4 (/awards.php, /award_request.php, /admincp/award.php, /admincp/award_cat.php)

Have you receive permission from HacNho to rerelease his modification with minimal changes to make it work with 3.7.x?

Well my forum has this mod in the version before this one. and i've allready customized the way that my awards are shown, ¿is there a way to set the templates manually?

I have a heavily modified previous version of YaAS, what are the main differences here?

His mod was released with re-usable code which allows for it.

Not that it matter but he only comes on to vb.org like 2 times a month, he does not reply to PM's nor emails sent to him by me, he does not support any of his hack anymore....so someones gotta.

Don't take this the wrong way but I use this hack a lot and so do many others and all of them want it for 3.7...so if he won't who will?

It really was a very simple conversion minus the timestamps...kept over looking a missing ' in the code.

Re-Usable code is open-source.

This version does not do any template changes, it caches the postbit and adds the appropriate variables for it to show in the postbit. This will allow for users to upgrade there boards without affecting the mod, and also allows for easy fixes for when major releases of vBulletin come out (4.0, 4.1 and so on where major changes to the code are done).


If anyone would like to make suggestions on what you would like to see implemented into this please let us know.

If you would like to forward me what changes you have done we can find a way to have them auto done (as a display option selectable by the user) to where if they like that output they can also choose it.

I think there should be an easier way to revoke medal, like a nav button in the admin panel, or in the "Award Manager* Like how u see, - - Games Played [Mass Move] [Edit] [Delete] [Add New Award]
Maybe you should add a "Revoke Medal" one too

Also add maybe a "Use a comma to award this medal to more than one user" function.

In the settings, is it set to display on the left or right?

Everytime I give an award the PM comes out with a diferent user I choose to send the PM.

Example. My User ID is #1 and the PM was sent by User ID #4

How can I change that problem since I have all configuration like is suppose to

You can still edit the PM and Email phrases normaly.

I am unable to reproduce that problem. works fine on my board.

If a user has no awards the tab will not show, once they have an award the tab will appear.

Also, since I do see you have an award in your postbit, I am betting it has something to do with the translations. Is your config.php in German by chance? If so then the code is not pulling the table correctly.

I would like a Forum Option that Board Moderators can give out Awards within a define category setup by the Award Manager. That way board Moderators cannot give out default Awards and only Awards tailored to their boards.
