Login Redirect - Redirect your users to their User CP or Profile when logging on
 
With this mod you can automatically redirect your users to either their User CP or Profile page when they log on. Use with caution, as this may annoy some users.

Installation: Import the XML file and then modify the Login Redirect Options.

what about language the choose in the beginning. when they are redirected will they have default langauge or the language they chose when registered

Few things I have noticed may be a bug and I like to have so treat this as for enhancement.
a. The title shows <a href='member.php?userid=x>username </a> May be need to fix this.
b. When I login through any other page .. say http://domainname.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2 by default, vbulletin redirects the page to the actual forum. After installing this hack, it leads to the page configured (ie usercp or profile).
c.An option to disable the redirect?
d. Redirection based on usergroup rights or Custom configuration for the user to choose

Sorry The first error is i.e title is due to installation of another hack. The pages of that hack displays the title like that ..

a - Already answered
b - What's your question? That's what this mod is supposed to do, redirect to the usercp or profile.
c - An option for the admin or for the individual user? To disable it, disable the hack.
d - Right now this was created so the admin can specify where a user is redirected to after logging in, not so the user can specify it.

I really like this, since I needed a way to get people to pay attention and utilize their UserCP more often... But having an option where members can turn it off would be handy! And making that choice an option admins can decide to use or not! That way those of us that want to allow more member control can keep people happy, and admins that want to keep it default could still do that too.

but in youre picture it looks a lot differant then on my forum
you have edit functions in the picture i can not see them

is there a way to redirect users to a topic or a thread ?
that would be nice if implemented ;)

absolutly one of the best mods there is at the moment
now users don't have a excuse anymore that they did not read something

i will nominate this for mod of the month
and i hope other admins will see the use of this mod
keep up the good work

and maybe you can put something in that exclude some usergroups
like admins and moderators vip and donators because they are redirected also

great hack but it will be much better if had one more option. to do it by user group n would be very handy to redirect new users to a certain forum,cause i don't understand why someone wanna redirect a user who has been coming to your forum for the past 2 years or months.you said it on top yourself that it might annoy some users.
should have some sort of cookie detection so the same user doesnt have to go to the same page over n over.don't mind .just a thought

i even have the thread stencil installed and still they delete the stencil and post theire own posting

that would be really super and i will keep track of this mod

hi club ample, you can easily convert that using a .htaccess file with the following content

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^$ index.php
RewriteRule (^[-_A-Za-z0-9\ ]*$) member.php?&username=$1
This file uploaded in your forum path will allow you to change the url of the member to its username...

example: hxxp://www.yourdomain.com/forums/kaasie would send you to the profile of kaasie
