Forum Home MP3 Player for vBulletin 3.7.x

Requirements

* vBulletin v3.7 or higher.
* Internet Explorer 7

Files & Folders
***************
upload/ : Files to be uploaded to your vbulletin folder (usually forums or forum).

product_fh_mp3.xml : Product XML File

readme.txt : Installation Instructions

Quick Setup (Advanced Users)
****************************

Step 1
-----------------------
Upload the files in your upload/ folder to their appropriate locations

Step 2
-----------------------
Using the VB product manager, import the product_fh_mp3.xml product

Step 3
-----------------------
Forum Home MP3 enables you to place the FHMp3 on any page you desire.

Edit the template: FORUMHOME
Find: $navbar
Underneath this add: $forumhome_mp3

Step 4
-----------------------
Upload your mp3 in mp3/ folder using FTP Client.

Step 5
-----------------------
Goto vBulletin Options > ArT - Forum Home Mp3 1.1 and edit its settings.

For Playlist:
-----------------------
Please Edit your playlist.xml [mp3/ folder] to locate your mp3.

ok, I like this onw but I have one problem

when I -or users who contacted me- open forum home, the mp3 file is downloaded instead of playing on the forum home!

any idea how why and how to fix it?

Ohh sorry, what version of ie did he use? i didn't try in ie6.

Would really like to see this with a random play list that plys regarless of what page you go to. Any ideas as to when you might have something like this?

i guess you have FF browser add-ons (IDM CC)...just disable it and it will work fine...hope so!

FF Browser > Tools > Add-ons > Find IDM CC > Disable

:p

Here are the Browsers I tried and the results of testing them:
Flock 1.2.4: downloads instead of playing even after I disabled IDM CC Add-on.
Firefox 3.0.1: downloads instead of playing even after I disabled IDM Add-on.
Maxthon 2.1.2: downloads instead of playing.
IE 7: downloads instead of playing.
Safari 3.1: didn't work at all.
Opera: works perfectly.

I use IDM
so when the page shows up, it take over and download the song instead of playing it on the page.

not working in my forum, i'm using firefox 3.0
there's a white box in the center..
when i click right mouse button, there's 2 text in there :

- Movie not loaded (disable)
- About adobe flash 9

thanks, i love it
some sugestions
* resuming the song after going back to forumhome insted of hearing it from the start
* playlist
* allow the player to open in a new window
* when you make the next version add an index.html to the mp3 folder so it will be "protected"
* allow members to upload songs and auto play \ moderate their songs
* make a live list of songs where the members choose wich song is going to be up next (LIVE)

thats all for my ideas
hope to see this mod grow and get installed on more boards.

download and install the latest version of my hack "Forum Home MP3 1.1"

Is there a way to make it where it shows the name of the song while its playing? and maybe add a pic for which song is playing?

just adjust the height, ...

example:

I've updated hack and followed all steps as you said but its still same, and player is not fit for small width.

I know this is default "forumhome_mp3" template code and if i use this code, it look like this:

I added all the files and uploaded the product therough product manager and all I get is a blank white box were the mp3 player should be. Need help in getting this to work please.

Here is exactly what I did on install:

I placed this file in my forum folder:
playlist xml doc...in the xml floder

Then I placed theses in my forum folder:
mp3_index html doc and mp3 shockwave flash object

Then I uploaded through porduct manager the
product-forumhome xml doc

What did I not do to get it to show and play correctly.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

@zapper1, just try to install macromedia flash player. to enable your mp3 player.. :P

@Pehchaan , are you using playlist or only 1 mp3?

yes 1 mp3 is fit very well, but i need to play more than one, so hopefully you will get a way to fix it with playlist.
