Updated! Now with cleaner Buttons and Graphics

Storm Style Installation

1. upload the Storm folder to your forum image directory (ex: forum/images/storm).
3. Login to your Admincp in vBulletin and Click on "Style & Templates" to expand the menu.
4. In the expanded menu click on "Download / Upload Styles" , a new page will load.
5. In the new page look for: "Import Style XML File" click on browse and point it to the .xml file that you want to install
6. Press IMPORT to complete the installation

7. .png files are included in the zip. You can edit the stormlogo_blank fo fit the needs of your forum. Don't forget to edit the header after uploading your logo.

Please don't remove the Copyright information.

I did not realize the id number changed after I reinstalled the style. I made a few adjustments to the fonts colors.

I like the background and some of the icons but the green buttons don't go with the style at all...

Thanks for the feedback... I have a few more in the early development stages that should be a little more soothing and color coordinated.

Anyways, cmedic101 I can't seem to get the lightening to appear when I add my own logo to it. How does one do that? TIA.

the logo is a .gif and the lettering will need to be placed with in the frames. Create your lettering design on frame one then if it does not transfer to the additional frames just cut and paste to each frame. I use Adobe Fireworks for all my graphics.

I kind of like the skin. Just needs a few things extra and it should be fine.

I have a newer version coming in a day or two... It has cleaner buttons, background image has been touched up and enhanced and the font colors have been blended a little better.

Cool...I've been watching this thread and waiting...

That is if I have it as a child style of another style it won't inherit the properties of the parent style. BTW this is only in IE. It works in Firefox. Is this a bug? TIA.

It works now.

I'm using IE... and have not seen any issues. also the syle was created with the default templates from 3.72, What templates are you trying to revert?

hi clever person who creates these skins (im sure thats what these are called.. lol )

I am wanting to try and download my first ever skin... (this one) but i reallllllllly haven't got a clue what im doing, im prepared to try it, as the site i set-up for my wife really needs flashing up a bit.... My other concern is we have a picture (possibly called a banner) at the top of the site now which i want to keep.....

Can you please help me, b4 i kill the whole thing....

If you follow the installation instructions listed above your install should go pretty smooth.

after the installation you must change the following line in the header template and Stylevars.

images/storm/misc/stormlogo.gif to images/styles/sosumi/misc/head_left.jpg Then refresh the page and your banner should be there.
