Hallo

Love this hack but it don't work on my forum.

When i have mark are thread i my forum, it don't show op at the notifications list..

Any help?

KURTZ 06-21-2008 10:56 AM

OK, i'm in testing now ... :p ... it runs ... :p 2 queries onto forumhome ...

however i need some improvements: i think that only the UGs 5,6,7 (and forum moderators) can use this feature right?

can you put an options that the admins can choose which users/usergroups can use this feature?

KURTZ 06-21-2008 11:11 AM

it seems to be an issue: sometimes when i select 'add thread .. etc' the system gives me the notification, but i'm the notifier! :) also when i return into the thread i don't see the option 'remove thread .. etc' ...

Almotmaiz.Net 06-21-2008 01:35 PM

UPDATE 1.2
1.2 - fix internal error .
----- add exusers and exusergroups in vB options.

re-downloaded from attacment in main thread post:)

Milad 06-21-2008 01:55 PM

You can do this using zero query!

Build an item in the datastore that contains, threadid, title and forumid for each thread. and ask for the datastore item via init_startup.

You will use 1 query to fetch the datastore item, and if you have another mods that pull datastore items via init_startup, you will use zero query.

I was thinking about writing a similar hack. but for now I'll mark this as installed until you reduce the queries to the lowest possible number.

Regards

But i reinstall and worg greate thanks. Installet.

KURTZ 06-21-2008 02:09 PM

dunno mate, onto my board it runs ... :) however i don't understand the 2 options in the ACP ... if i put the '2' in the first field this means that the members into the usergroup 2 can't view the notifications?

awesome mod!

shlomot 06-22-2008 01:44 AM

Hello,

I just installed and re-installed this great mod (which I also want to nominate).

I set up "6" (Admin group) in Excepted groups, and nothing in Excepted users. I assume that this two options have to do with who can moderate Thread Notifications.

I still cannot see any such moderation option either in Thread Tools or in the Moderation list-box bellow the posts.

Please advise. Thanks.

how can the normal user , moderate the thread , this mod , check the forum promission to moderate this forum , with this option you can ignored this by his/her userid or ignore all his/her usergroup, every thing comes clear now ?

KURTZ 06-22-2008 07:37 AM

yes thanks :)

however i'll wait the new devs without queries! :p

Super Jinni 06-22-2008 10:07 AM

this is just nice work..

just waiting for what Milad talked about and what you promised

thanks for the nice work

ALLAH bless you

Installed

Super Jinni 06-22-2008 10:22 AM

another thing

the option to show the thread in notification list is listed in the thread tools

if you can make it it the Moderation list options in every forum so that we can sellect more than thread at once in forum(s) or when search in search results, it will be great

thanks again

taxick 06-22-2008 11:17 AM

Sorry - I uninstall this hack now - No support and it dont work on my forum

KURTZ 06-22-2008 12:59 PM

just a question: if i select this option into a private forum that only 5 users can see, when all the users have seen that thread the option returns 'add thread ...' or not? or remains 'remove thread ...'?

Hello, after version upgrading to vBulletin 3.7.2, I'm getting an occasional SQL error message as below:
Code:

Database error in vBulletin 3.7.2:

Invalid SQL:

Do tables nlp_notifications_thread and nlp_notifications_read belong to this mod?

If so, the whole issue is strange because I never even started to tag any threads for reading.

BeerLuver 06-26-2008 09:10 AM

Nice mod, but it's not working on my forums; 3.7.2. It doesn't show any option for this in the Thread Tools dropdown menu even after I put the admin group; 6, into the settings to access this mod. Uninstalled for now then til it does work with latest vb. Thanks though so far :)
