I found this and thought I would share it. How many of you remember this?

UNIVAC: A device, which contained 20,000 vacuum tubes, occupied 1,500 square feet and weighed 40 tons; there was also a laptop version weighing 27 tons.

What does the million$ have to do with the UNIVAC?

that we have come from a long way from UNIVAC, that maybe is time to realize that we are getting old... and it's worrying that still can't see the results of my efforts from being on this line of business... but it's pretty obvious right?

I would like to see a picture of that some day.

Looks like the first DP shop I worked in...in 1983 O_o (back then we still loaded some jobs with punch cards lol).

BTW the Jetsons had a ton of computers called "Univac" (or a play on the word) in the series...if you catch a re-run of that cartoon be on the look out for 'em!

I've read it about those in school...but my parents weren't even born back then. :p
