Advertisiment in threadbit
 

Description:
This mod add advertisement in threadbit. Installation is easy.

Contents:

1. XML product (2 codes, 2 templates, 5 plugins, 16 phrases, 6 options)

Installation:

1. Installation is an easy procedure. It will take only few seconds!
2. Go to the 'ACP' -> 'Plugins & Products' -> 'Manage products' -> '[Add/Import Product]' and import 'product.xml'.

Updating:
You may update this modification two different ways:

First way:

1. Go to the 'ACP' -> 'Plugins & Products' -> 'Manage products' -> 'Advertisement in threadbit' and delete the product.
2. Go to your ftp server -> go to the '*vbulletin_folder*' -> 'includes' -> 'xml' -> 'bitfield_adinthreadbit.xml' and delete the file.
3. Go to the 'ACP' -> 'Plugins & Products' -> 'Manage products' -> '[Add/Import Product]' and import 'Advertisement in threadbit'.

Enjoy!

Second way:

1. Upload 'adupdate.php' file to your vBulletin folder.
2. Go to 'http://your_forum.com/adupdate.php'.
3. Go to your ftp server -> go to the '*vbulletin_folder*' -> 'adupdate.php' and delete the file.
4. Go to the 'ACP' -> 'Plugins & Products' -> 'Manage products' -> '[Add/Import Product]' and import 'product.xml' allow override.

Enjoy!

Tuning:

1. Go to the 'ACP' -> 'vBulletin Settings' -> 'Advertisement in threadbit' and tuning the mod as you want.

1. Maybe you could setup usergroups to see the advert.
2. Screen one shows a last poster on thet row. Whats that?

1. Yes. You may set usergroups that won't see the advert.
2. Last post - it is simpy phrase. You can also change a template of advert (see screen 2).

Adverts don't show up, any idea?

Please say what you did. Probably you entered wrong number - "Place".
Example:
You entered "3" and you have 3 threads in forum - the advert won't be showed.

See. You must enter the position where the advert will be showed. Default this position is "3". If a page where you want to see the advert contained less than 3 threads, the advert wouldn't be showed because it is showed after 3 thread (it is the last thread on the page and the advert is showed between threadbits)

Arite i put condition for the guests which worked fine but why in the thread icon column it shows my website address?

How can i fix that or if i dont want to show any thread icon wht should i do?

This is one of the most annoying places [after showthread message bit] to place a add on your forum. well thanks for sharing it anyway.:)

Thank you. I have fixed it. ;)

It worked good, then I set "Show the advert?" to no and to yes again. The advertisement didn't reappear, uninstalled the mod and reinstalled the mod, can't get the advertisement back. Please check as initially it worked great :).

Also when clicking uninstall:

I've tried to switch on and switch off the advert - it works correct without errors. And with a unistalling was a error - I forgot to write '$' front the 'db->hide_errors();' :) Now it totally works.

Changed the russian phrases to xx1 and xx2 and it works now... hehe. Thanks!

Installed last night worked like a dream, today just not showing, unistalled reinstalled and still will not work, like the mod so any ideas would be great. Thank You.

Remeber to enable/disable the display of ads for each usergroup in the usergroup manager.

I see, you have photopost installed. I didn't see this hack, but I suggest what is reason of it. Open template 'threadbit_ad1' and find '<img src="$thread[threadiconpath]" alt="$thread[threadicontitle]" border="0" />'. Change the path to image.

Stays the same even after the change.

Strange... Only this thread doesn't 'work'?

Only for the Advertisement it happens like this no clue why, where the image suppose to be though? Becuase this is showing the ALT tag.

the ads dont show and i have more then 3 postings on the page
for now a waste of time to install and test it
