[G4HQ] YouRip - A Small YouTube Downloader

YouRip - A very small and easy YouTube Downloader

YouRip Example

YouRip allows your members to directly download youtube videos directly from YouTube.

Time to install?
- Less then 10 seconds if you are fast enough

Installation
Just upload the files inside the upload folder.
Then go to your product manager and add the xml product file.

then go to..
yoursite.com/yourip.php

You need to input the ending code of a youtube video.

You can also intergate this into your youtube bbcode as well.

I find it hard to work out what part of the link to copy and paste sometimes, do you think you can make it so it recognizes the whole url and takes the part of the url it needs.

also, if you enter a wrong url, it gives you a white page, well this is bad because I thought I entered in the right thing, and I thought it didnt work at all.

Kk there was a code inside the meta tag.. that messed up if u got a blank page...

Just use the new xml and overwrite it :P It should work.

or u can manully edit the skin and find meta name and make it look like this ->

Thanks,but what I meant was, if you put in the wrong code, eg. abcdefg it then gives you a white page instead of letting you know you put in the wrong code and giving you an example of what part of the link you need to insert.

Tested just now on your site and it still does the same.

Silly it saves the file as a .FLV
and if you saved it on your server you may be breaking copyrights..

Anyhow you can always just dowload and upload it via FTP.

in what program can i run the saved file ?
i tried downloading from your demo and i cant seem to run it with anything
tried flash player, FF, winamp, BSPlayer, WM, hehe any help?

Well, I downloaded the two new files. Uploaded and installed. Now when I click download, a window pops up "Page cannot be displayed".

I CHMOD'd the php file to 777. Still nothing.

if you can integrate this with an in-post player+downloader that you can watch the movie in a post and then push a button to download it this could become a great mod.

im currenly using passivevid and your mod, integrating them will be huge :)

Sound remove the 777, thats not safe, and just download the php file again and replace.

It really really doesn't like me :(

I replaced, changed CHMOD back to 644 and tested across both browsers again. Same issues. IE. 404 error. FF - Blank Window.

No popup blockers in effect either.

I just did it. No it still does not work with IE 6. A pop up window does come up with the download request. But when you click to download it just goes to a white window that says done.
