vb options

is there a simple way to put the vboptions into an alphabetical order? i'm going crazy every time i'm looking for a specific option ...

TIA

i think there is an existing hack for this in 3.0...

King Kovifor 05-31-2008 01:16 PM

This would require a modification. As far as I know, no one has made it yet. Except back for 3.0.

If i am not sure where an option is located, i mostly just open all settinggroups and use the browsers search option to find what i want.

Check you're modification request thread, I left a reply.

I'm not sure what Marco uses, but I use firefox and do what he does - search on the word and hit Highlight All and it shows every instance of that word on the page. I can also hit Next (or Previous) to have it go through all the instances of the word.

I am using NetCaptor/IE7, but almost any browser has a buildin page search, mostly by Ctrl-F

just tried, it works too ... :) but i think this method is 'fastless' than the other ... cause like you just said there are many instances about a single option/word ... keep in mind that the better way to search an options is by the option title ...

however thx for the tip Lynne :)

Only if you can remember the name of the Option Title, which I never can. :) But, hey, everyone is different and if you've now got it set up so it's better for you, then great!

No, it doesn't work in the dropdown, but if you double-click on Show All Settings, then you can do it.
