Mass Tag Threads
 

With the new tagging system in VB, it would be nice if you could add tags to multiple threads all at once. Example, you search your forum for Dodge or Chevy, select all the results, and then with one click add whatever tags you want to all of the results (i.e. Chevrolet). This can have significant benefits for SEO.

Well, that is what this product does. You can use the inline mod menu to add tags to multiple threads listed in search results, tag search results, and in the forum display.

This mod REQUIRES at least Vbulletin 3.7. If you have not heavily modified your templates (i.e. left your template hooks in place) then you will not be required to edit any templates, if you have however, you will either be forced to revert three templates or follow the readme to edit your current ones.

Installation is simple, just install the product file in the AdminCP.

This product was developed for Andy R from Social Knowledge and released here for others to enjoy.

just installed! runs great ... but i saw a little trouble, i select the threads (forumdisplay) correctly, i put the tags correctly, but after that when i return onto the forumdisplay the threads that i've selected previously are still selected ...

Yes, not sure if it is a bug, or just the way vb handles it when you return. I kinda like it so I can view the threads and make sure the tags stuck..

This is now fixed, just upload the new product file and choose to overwrite..

my board have 334.162 Threads and i have 1000 top Keys...

Show my a way to put the 1000 keys in a List and your Hack search automatically for threads with this Key in Title an put automatically the key as Tag in the first 500 search result (if the thread ist not older then 1 Year)

WOW!! I've been dreaming about this mod. Thank you VERY much for releasing it.

When I search my forum I get 25 posts per page in the results per page. How can I select say 250 posts at once to auto tag ? Currently I have to go page by page.

Is there any way to mark all threads in a forum at once. If you have a big forum and have around 3000-4000 threads selecting all is a huge pain :)

If you change your forum display properties to show 3000-4000 threads at once, you could then do that..

Jafo just another request (if is possible): you know when we add a tag in the newthread.php the system tell us if that tag already exists can you improve your hack with this function? thx

Added the auto suggest feature to version 1.3, just overwrite the product file when installing.
