1. First, why did you installed a 3.5 mod directly in your 3.7 main board ??
2. Are you able to login to admincp ?? If yes, uninstall the awards system and delete all files that you just uploaded through FTP !!
3. If no, open your includes/config.php, and enter this right after <?php
PHP Code:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS'true);

, save and upload/overwrite

richards112 05-27-2008 09:18 AM

Yes i have done that thank you so much!
but do ou please have any idea on how i may get my mods back???
Thanks

snakes1100 05-27-2008 09:36 AM

The error states the award_user dont exist, uninstall or re-install the hack that relates to the award system your using, you might have to manually remove any phrases the hack added, also make sure that you remove any xml file you might of uploaded to the /includes directory as well for that hack.

After doing so, remove the line you added to config.php of comment it out by adding // in front of it and re-save.

richards112 05-27-2008 09:42 AM

Thanks for quick reply.

And also, when you say phrases that the mod added.. do you mean in my database or config.php, because hen i read the installation, it says that it adds tables to the databaseAnd yes, i removed absolutely all xml and php files i uploaded through FTP and removed it from product manager
but i still get database error!
Any ideas please :(

WEBDosser 05-27-2008 09:47 AM

don't you have a backup of your site & database?.. if you do then use that.

richards112 05-27-2008 09:52 AM

No i dont, i backed it up, but that was when i was installing the mod
If only i backed it up 5 minutes earlier

snakes1100 05-27-2008 09:59 AM

Do as i suggested, that is a fixable issue with your db and there is no need to reload the database from a backup, the issue is related to the hack that you tried to install.

richards112 05-27-2008 10:02 AM

Ok, so i dont need to edit none of the tables in my database?
Just my config.php?

snakes1100 05-27-2008 10:06 AM

I never posted anything about editing a db table and you shouldnt be doing so anyway.

Follow the instructions in the previous post.

richards112 05-27-2008 10:09 AM

No i didn't even think about touching my database.
And yes i did what you told me: I uninstalled the plugins, removed ALL the xml and PHP files
and added the extra // quotes at the beginning <?php but still no luck.
Please tell me if im doing this wrong.
Thanks

snakes1100 05-27-2008 10:12 AM

Did you remove the templates & phrases that it added as well?

richards112 05-27-2008 10:13 AM

No.
Ithink it removes it automatically?
Seeming as when i installed it, it created the templates itself

snakes1100 05-27-2008 10:15 AM

You need to check the system, that is why i asked, the hack isnt designed for 3.7.0 and may not install/uninstall correctly itself.

richards112 05-27-2008 10:17 AM

Ohh, Isee but i thought it would be Ok since it instaled in product manager.
Could you please give me a list of things or templates i should check , so i may do it right away, as my forum is almost useless if i dont get it done.
Also thanks alot for your help and quick reply

snakes1100 05-27-2008 10:36 AM

Edit the product in something like editplus or wordpad, i dont have a list, its in the product file.

richards112 05-27-2008 10:46 AM

What do you mean by edit the product?
As in vbulletin product file or award product file.
Can you please explain it a bit more better please
Thanks

snakes1100 05-27-2008 10:51 AM

edit the product file for the hack you used, what other product would there be to edit?

richards112 05-27-2008 10:55 AM

Ok if you mean the product file that you use to upload into vbulletin plugin manager, i found it.
I see a long list of codes but what do i edit???
Il wait for a reply before i edit, incase i mess anything else up =/

snakes1100 05-27-2008 10:58 AM

edit the file to find out what it added to your forum, templates, phrases etc.

richards112 05-27-2008 11:12 AM

Ok i found a list of all the phrases it adds, heres a quick example of what it says
<phrasetype name="GLOBAL" fieldname="global">
followed by a list of award phrases
where do i go to edit my vbulletin phrases?

snakes1100 05-27-2008 11:18 AM

In you admincp under the phrase manager, do a search for the word "award", would be easier.

richards112 05-27-2008 11:23 AM

Ohh, so when i search the word "award" all phrases under it would come out...
Ill try it now, ill get back to you in 15 minutes
Thanks

No all i found were the awards of my previous plugin :(
i dont understand... i uninstalled EVERYTHING but i still have database error

snakes1100 05-27-2008 12:28 PM

Your previous plugin, what are you talking about exactly?

Did you check the templates as well, something is still calling for the award system on your site, that is why your getting the error.

richards112 05-27-2008 12:41 PM

And yes, i had a previous awards mod
found here: http://www.vbnova.com/showthread.php?t=172

So its not the database thats calling it, its something on the forum...
Could i send you the product file, so you could have a quick look and tell me what needs to be done, Itl be helpful

snakes1100 05-27-2008 01:13 PM

Ive told you already in the post, you need to make sure everything that has to do with either of those hacks are removed, that includes files that you ftp'd php/xml, phrases & templates changes or additions.

richards112 05-27-2008 01:36 PM

Ok im going to go through all my files now, and make sure theyre all gone

--------------- Added [DATE]1211900149[/DATE] at [TIME]1211900149[/TIME] ---------------

All of them are gone but still same issue.
i might be wondering if its my previous version aswell
because i had them both installed
i found the phrase for the previous award, where do i go to delete them?
