Notices: Day Criteria (based upon Server Time Zone)
NOTE: This is currenty @ beta status. For whatever reason, parts of the week are triggering others. Working on a fix.
With this Product, a new criteria is added to the Notice Edit screen. Under "Display this notice if...", you will see three new options. Using them, you can select which days of the week your notice will show up. NOTE: Yes, this is based upon your SERVER's time zone, not the end user's time zone. To Install: 1) Save the attached product-daycriteria.xml file. 2) Navigate to AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> [Add/Import Product] 3) Browse to wherever you saved the file. 4) Allow Overwrite -> Yes. 5) Import! Version History: 1.0.0 - Initial Release You may be interested in a similar product of mine: Notices: Time Range Criteria (based upon Server Time). Using both products you could have notices show up from 9-5, M-F for instance :) |

Perfect for store open/close days
|
Yep! I'm going to use it in combo with my other mod for a pretty similar purpose, opening / closing hours / days for various departments.
Next step is to figure out how to lock a notice into a calendar, so you can auto-adjust for holidays :) |
Can you make those days in an one single line rather then making in 3 line ?

I've already got a version coded for when they fix said limitations though. Product will be smaller than it currently is. |
About one check box for every day, and then you do like you have for exclude days

Just one little problem for me - the 'date' product appears in the middle of the lines for the days. Not a huge problem but would be nice to change that.

another installation for you Wired ... :p

Two ways to fix it: Disable the Adds Server Time Criteria plugin, save, enable, save. OR Edit the plugin Adds Server Time Criteria, go to Execution Order. Change it to 6. Quote:

As pointed out, yesterday it was showing Friday's message.
|
You can check any of the 3 criteria (NOT the conditionals), and it'll set them all to true. Still working on a fix.
|
Did this ever get any further?

It will be a great fix if you repair it. Thanks a lot. |

Wow i wanted it so far !!

Hi Wired1,
This would be a great mod if you fix it and upgrade it to 3.8.4 , Days should be in one radio button (in one line) but each day has a checkbox, that will do an 'OR' condition for checkboxes. Thanks,, |
Limitations in 3.x prevent it from working fully. It's on the list to look into upgrading after my major mods are upgraded for vB 4.0.

thanks in advance! |
Yes, does it work now?
|
Where exactly is the problem. I played a little with the code and got the first part working.
The MOD now shows up and the days can be picked. I can't figure out, why the conditionals aren't working. The notices just won't show up at the right day. If the author has no interest on the MOD any more, is there a way to get the idea out of this dead area to somewhere, where people might read it? |
Somebody?
|
Does anyone know how to do this without the mod?? I really need to know how and this doesn't work :(
