vBug Tracker Lite 3.7

After many requests I decided to revive this addon from the vBulletin 3.5.x days. For those who don't know, this addon was a mimic of the original Bug Tracker found on vBulletin.com.

I will provide support only to those who click install. I have many other features I will be adding as time permits. Enjoy!

Edit...
I am currently working on a new version with many new features so the demo doesn't work at present. If someone would be kind enough to supply a demo link I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Dark_Wizard 05-18-2008 12:21 AM

Coming soon.. version 3.7.1

New features:
  • * WYSIWYG Editor.
    * Cleaner looking templates.
    * Enable/Disable Versioning.

Lindsey 05-18-2008 12:35 AM

It's in the admincp, look for the vBug Tracker near the top of the left side.

toonysnn 05-18-2008 01:45 PM

Also installed, as I have opened a new site that will be heavily developed and I do not know all the features will be flawless.

Thanks a lot Dark_Wizard! :)

Seems to work like a charm so far! I know this is a Working As Designed matter but what would be even better is if the 'Closed' statuses actually closed the discussion.

MyZurna 05-18-2008 02:04 PM

Thanks. ;)

Snuck that last bit in after I responded... hehe.

I will look at the option of disabling versions.

redlabour 05-18-2008 05:07 PM

1. I hardly miss a PM or Mailnotification for Admins if a User or Moderator creates new Bugs.

2. If i reply i get a Checkbox without any Phrases around. Guess there should be the Subscriptionphrase set but it is missing for Replys.

Can?t reproduce.

I'll look into it and fix it for the next release...

redlabour 05-19-2008 08:51 PM

Please don?t forget:
  • Checkbox in AdminCP to choose which Status should close a Bug (Duplicate, Won?t fix .....)
  • Maybe a function to link Duplicate Bugs to the Original Bug
  • Edit Response
  • Use BB-Code (Specially for URL?s)

Checkbox I'll look into.
Duplicate bugs will take some time.
Edit response is in the works
BBcode and WYSIWYG are now working..

Very good plugin!

But change the name of "vbugs.php" to "bugs.php". This plugin is good enough to not be competed by any other bug tracking plugin (are there any other?)

redlabour 05-22-2008 06:26 AM

Feature Request:

I like to see the Bugtracker on Forumhome as a Forum with Admins as Moderators and all Postings and Views counted like a real Forum.

At this Time i have included it as a external Link in Forumhome because it replaces our old Bugforum.

JokeAss 05-22-2008 10:07 AM

That would rock.

One thing that you should add - is that the plugin automatically adds a link in the navbar.
Just make a hook in parse_templates, and do ex.

PHP Code:

$vbulletin->templatecache['navbar'] = str_replace('vbphrase[faq]</a></td>','vbphrase[faq]</a></td><td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="'.$vbulletin->options['bburl'].'/vbugs.php">Bug Tracker</a></td>',$vbulletin->templatecache['navbar']);

;)

Thank you! I was considering the name change but I have had it this way since the vbulletin 3.0.x days....I would however consider it an option in the vbug tracker settings.

Seems like Project is dead. Clicked uninstall and buyed a Licence of vBulletin Project Tools.

I don't like the vb project tools.. Have more features and not found my preferences...

I like this hack and develop with this..

Regards.

;)

I have added one phrase into "vBulletin Global" named "vbugs_tracker" => "vBug Tracker"

After create new custom template named "vbugs_navbar_link" and insert into this code:
HTML Code:

<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="vbugs.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[vbug_tracker]</a></td>
And for finish create new Plugin for vbugs named "vBug Tracker - Navbar Link Template" with this code inside:
PHP Code:

eval('$template_hook[navbar_buttons_right] .= "' fetch_template('vbug_navbar_link') . '";');

For now not released new version of this script. Before require to authorization for update and after if the author autorize me, releasing :)

Regards.

If this project is still alive, I'll create fresh new templates for it. Who is currently working on this?

99SIVTEC 10-16-2008 01:57 PM

I deleted half of the bug types, but they still show i nthe drop down. I even verified that they were removed physically by viewing the database. Are these hard coded into the software somewhere?

Fynnon 10-19-2008 06:44 PM

i`m interested in this mod also...so if someone can takeover the development it would be great ;-)

Thanks for Add-on!
Very useful.
I wish to ask when will leave 3.7.1?
Whether it will be possible to do attach?
Very necessary screenshot....

Puntoboy 10-26-2008 02:40 PM

I have a problem with no permission in a ACP?

Can't see how to add permission so I can configure it.

columbusgeek 11-04-2008 10:36 PM

I agree maksim. Screen shot attachment is pretty important.

Is this project dead? I prefer it over vB projects.

Also is there a way to notify admins when new bugs get posted?

Mike-D 01-18-2009 09:38 PM

Installation and Nominition have been removed now !

I have PM'ed the Autor about his permission regarding a simple Translation in German without any answer since three days. I saw him several times Online but I never got any answer. I was absolutely convinced about his AddOn so I decided to remove his AddOn because of his bad support via PM

Amazing, I am on now and yet haven't been in many, many months due to issues in my personal life. So based on your assumptions, outright lies and attitude I DO NOT give you permissions to translate this mod.

As for anyone else, if your interested in working on this mod PM/Email me and let's get together and make this a smoking mod! I am also getting ready to work on a few of my other ones but am desperately looking for help since I cannot donate as much time as needed.

I will look into bugs listed here and get to work on them so at least it is a bug free product.

So what? I do not need your permissions anymore but you should be fair about your statements (see Attachment!!!) I think you should reconsider the terms about "Lies" and "Truth"

So long as Users will get an answer what I highly doubt  Unless you change your signature... Please don't PM me for Support ...
