can use vb .org after license expire?

hi
can we still use vbulletin.org after our owned license expire?

cheat-master30 05-14-2008 06:07 PM

If it's an owned license, yes.

vinboy 05-14-2008 06:25 PM

ok cool...
that is wonderful

King Kovifor 05-15-2008 01:48 AM

As long as you own a license you will be able to use vB.org. Owned licenses are considered owned after the year of updates.

KURTZ 05-17-2008 02:35 PM

so if we don't renew the license we cannot use vb.org (i mean download the hacks)

If you own a leased license, correct. Once you no longer "Own" a license (after 1 year you must purchase another leased license) you will not be able to use vB.org. An "Owned" license will give you access to vBulletin.org as long as you have the license.

KURTZ 05-17-2008 02:49 PM

so 'lifetime' access right Jeremy? cause the owned license never expires ... or not? :S

Lifetime access with an owned license. :) But there are ways to lose your access to vBulletin.org, example being breaking our rules.

ok very good.
I told my lawyer to pass my vb license to my son after my death (I'm 25 now), I expect to live until 125.
I'll tell my son to pass to my grandchild :D

FleaBag 05-19-2008 02:56 PM

Kovifor, can you say confuse the enemy? :)

If you own an owned, but do not own a leased, or possibly own a leased... lol.

An owned license isn't 'considered' owned, else it would not be owned at all. So it is in fact, owned.

And a leased license is not owned for a year either, it is never owned, it is leased - hence the term leased license.

vinboy I am afraid your licenses will die with you, as you cannot request a license transfer once you are dead. Plus, they also need to be active licenses in order to be transferred. Sorry to put a downer on your death!

Way to confuse me. LOL. :p, but same thing. Owned leased, same wording. But you guys got the jist.

nexialys 05-19-2008 11:57 PM

so if i follow you right, i can own a leased that could not be owned until i own it ?!

if i own it after i lease it, does that mean i postpone a lease ?!

EuroBeat2 05-20-2008 02:27 AM

Oh Shut Up already! I am too confused to handle it. :)

While your son and grandson, kept your password, they will be licenced for life... you can let your password in your will, and than the vbulletin will be a good gift to them after you die...

Live today, and when you die, give a vbulletin present to your sons!... the best way to have them to remember you xD... unless you make them keep your body in your livingroom.. like that american couple some years ago.. xD

KTBleeding 05-22-2008 03:09 PM

Oh my.

If anyone writes their vBulletin license in their will, then they need to get a life outside of the internet.

doctornuke 06-24-2008 11:02 AM

OMG Okey, now I understand that owned licensed never expire but die. :)
