Tabbar Suite
This mod allows admins to install and manage Standard Tabbars... aka {Nav-Tabs}...
ATTENTION: download Tutorial for better help... What does it do? Step {3} ******** Setup CSS in admin options...
Step {4} ******** Image paths in admin options... Edit left and right image paths in admin options... Default paths below...>>> Left = images/tabbars/css5_L.gif Right = images/tabbars/css5_L.gif If you followed the first four steps and images don't show, you must edit the path above in the Tabbar Suite options... View first step to understand how to link to images folder... Ok, if you made it here then your images are showing? If you want to change image sets, edit the path above in options... How? Edit the numbers only in both paths and your images will change to that number set... Example: css5_L.gif <<<..... edit the number only {5} to change color sets... Step {5} ******** Editing tabbars info in admin options... Making changes to tabbars individually?

any idea why mine isn't working properly. It will link to the CMPS page but shrinks down once i get to it and won't let me click on it.

I'd really like to try this. Can you advise exactly where it's supposed to display (which template)? I followed the directions, and it's just not showing up. I can see that it's entering the CSS into the page, but it doesn't seem to make use of them. My URL is here:

have installed this hack ...used cmps version because i have forum and cmps in same forum root ... (mean index.php and index_cmps.php)- after get error in IE page of my forum and cmps page (down on left side - i thing that is from crome.js) can be that fixed ?

Nice hack. Had to change the colors a little bit to match my forums color layout.

Hopefully all my questions aren't annoying you, Tabbars is an excellent product and I'm just trying to help you make it even better. :-)
My next question is this: It appears that once you add dropdown choices under a particular tab, you can no longer click on the main Tab and go somewhere. Once you add choices, you HAVE to select one of the dropdown choices. Clicking on the main tab doesn't take you anywhere. Is there anyway to change it so that you can either choose one of the dropdown choices OR click on the main tab? Or, perhaps I have it setup incorrectly? Hopefully my question makes sense. |
Why do you put CSS and other Style-related stuff in vBulletin settings?
That's the totally wrong place, you really should use the vBulletin CSS editor for CSS, and stylevars for image directories, etc. |

Well it makes it easier for the user as all style releated settings are in a central place if yo do so: In Style Manager :-)
Take a look at css.php, adminfunctions_template.php. There are hooks you can use to handle custom CSS classes, Image Paths. I am not sure if there already is a tutorial online here at vBulletin.org on how to use these hooks, if not i'll write up smth. PS: I am definitly not a 'PHP Guru' :-) |
