|
YES!
Finally a good skin for 3.7.0! |
very cool thanks:up:
|
Great style! Thanks for the release.
In the "style files" folder, there is only a single file, but the instructions say there should be a fixed .xml file as well. Is that available? |
You bet, I was waiting to see if anyone actually used the fixed style :)
I'll create the fixed version and add it up for download. |
Awesome, thanks!
|
Well I found the style I'm gonna use. However a couple of things need attention. In the album the page numbers is missing the down arrow on the right end. And the log out is undefinded. The log out box says>
undefinded yes no Should say Do you want to log out? yes no Other than that minor stuff this is a good looking style. |

The file has been updated, and the missing image ("menu_open_usercss") is in the misc folder Thanks setishock! |
Would it be possible to get a copy of the navbar button in psd?
Thanks. |
wow that's called a Skin

It is now included in the psd folder. I also made a couple minor tweaks to the style & cleaned up some code. From the AdminCP select "Download / Upload Styles" > Merge into style dropdown select "Blak-Ice" and browse to the "Style Files" folder of the package you just unzipped then select the xml file to import. Click Import...done. |
Thanks for the button image, but there seems to be a problem. You can see the difference with my new buttons versus the originals (mine are videos and forum). Attached is a screenshot as well.
Thanks! |
And something else as well. You left out the open and collapse arrows in the user profile. That's easy to fix. I made copies of the collapse_alt and collapse_alt_collapse arrows. Renamed them collapse_generic and collapse_generic_collapse respectively. Shot them up to the buttons folder and they worked first time out.
Ever consider doing an red ice version? www.animeappeal.com And another thing> The bottom of the forum table is missing. The bar that runs along the bottom with the blue stripe. What is the name of the file and what folder is it in. Also if it's a filler, what is the instruction for it? Like repeat x top left? |
I hate to ask such a stupid question though on my forum, the blue line at the bottom part of each section doesn't display completely. I'm curious as to what image I didn't upload would cause that problem and where I upload it to.
|
I also noticed that when using vbadvanced, the "Links" dropdown tab doesn't work on the homepage. It still functions properly on all other pages. Any fix for this? I really want to use this skin, but need to get these two problems (navbar png not matching originals) fixed first before going live :)

1. Make sure the image was uploaded to your Blak-Ice misc folder 2. go to the blak ice style through your admincp>styles and templates>style manager 3. open the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template 4. find: Code:
$childforumbits Code:
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%" align="center" class="utcat"> |

Unfortunately it didn't seem to work. I tried re-uploading the image and I checked for the code. It was there though still no luck.
|
Can you provide me a link to your site? ( pm me if you don't want to post it )
|
Same here. All accounted for. www.animeappeal.com
|
I followed the install instructions but all the graphics boxes (and I mean ALL) are just red x's - screenshot attached.
Any ideas? |

Where did you upload the Blak-Ice folder? If it isn't located in the forum root you will need to change the style options to match the location of the images. e.g. if you uploaded Blak-Ice to a different folder on your forum such as "styles" then you will need to go to the Blak-Ice "All Style Options" and set the "Image Paths" section to match. In this example all the paths would be "styles/blak_ice/misc". |
Thanks Hoof, fixed now :D
Only thing that's missing now seems to be the icon when reading a quote that takes you back to the original post. Any ideas? |
Changed the address as stated. No joy there.
Changed to another image and renamed it to the fill name. It shows on the left side but is not repeating. It's in the same location as the old bottom filler gif image. (I just renamed the old one) |

That's strange. You can see it but I can't. I was piddling with any line that has the tcat bottom filler gif file name inserting the path for my folder. If it didn't make a differnce I reverted it back to like I found it. But when I hit this one it worked.
Additional CSS Definitions Code:
.utcat { background: url(blak_ice/misc/tcat_bottom_fill.gif) repeat-x; } Thanks so much for your patients with a noncoder type like me. Now I'm off to see what I botched up with the new post icons. LOL |
Merci cool
|
I had a Homer moment also. DOH! I didn't take into consideration I was the only one posting so nothing was new to me. It's all good now. Thanks again.
|
I've got a question:
I have vbExperience installed but under Blak Ice I don't see the images for it, just red X's. How do I get them to show? Any ideas? |
good job man
thanks a lot |

Hello Hoof i also have the same problem that the buttons does not look the same after i modifiy the button text, i guess it is related to the saving of the images as gif.
Can you let me know which settings you are using to save the nav buttons!! many thanks for the great work !! |

Nice work just 2 questions
1. is it wanted that some images are loaded from your board ? What if you would move your board to another server ? 2. buttons/collapse_generic.gif and misc/userfield_edit.gif are missing ? |
