What HZBanInformation in Profile is ?

This product will enable you to display the ban reason of a member on a block on the right of his profile page. Sometimes when you have a large board you want to show people why you banned someone and what they shouldn't do to get banned too! This product is perfect for that!

Settings :
- Turn on/off the product ( On by default )
- You can select the vertical position of the block ( Below Mini Stats by default )
- You can select the usergroups who will be able to see this information. ( All by default )
- You can select wich are the banned usergroup that will display this information on his profile.
- You also have the option to display or not the admin who banned the user. ( On by default )

Installation :
1. download the product product-hzbaninfo101.xml
2. Go to Manage Products ( AdminCP -> Plugin & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product )
3. Import the product-hzbaninfo101.xml
4. Ready. Will start working right away.

Upgrade :
1. download the product product-hzbaninfo101.xml
2. Go to Manage Products ( AdminCP -> Plugin & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product )
3. Check Allow Overwrite to Yes
4. Import the product-hzbaninfo101.xml
3. Ready. Will start working right away.

i'm wondering, if i give to a user a temporary ban, it'll showed into profile, and when the ban is lifted this information goes away?

Of course. If the user is not in a bannedgroup and of course the ban was lifted, this information wont be displayed. Also, when the ban is lifted (by time or by hand) the record dissapears from the database so there wont be anything to show.

Banned user group is: 32

I banned this member through Edit User Profile link > ACP. This particular member was banned on 5-2-08

please download the new version ( product-hzbaninfo101.xml ), upgrade and let me know if it works (it should work now)

I installed the new version, now it doesn't show the block at all in the members profile page.

What was the original usergroup id of the member ?
To what usergroup id are you moving him into ?

I guess you have "This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group" set to "no".

If it's set to "no", then I really have no idea why it's not working, I'm not able to replicate the bug in any way...although i did fixed one error before (displayed a non-existent ban...and now it doesn't). So my guess would be that for some reason, it's not retrieveing the ban information from the database

Banned usergroup is set to no...the previous version worked fine, it was just the ban date was wrong.
**I went back to the older version...I can live with the 1969...makes my board look real old that way! :D

Could you please mark as installed :)?

Also, is only with one user or with every banned user ?

O.K. I lifted the ban...then gave a custom infraction ban I had created, now it shows the proper ban date...this is with the original mod version. Do you suggest I try using the newer version? or shall I not fix what's not broken? :p

I mean either red card (ban) or yellow card (warning) depending on the infraction?
SO all the users could see why a user got a warning too

This is great. I had to make an announcement when a popular member asked to be banned to study for exams... with this, I won't need to anymore :D

Well, the new version Does fix a pretty big display bug...other than that...you wont loose anything other than time, it's up to you :)

haha, in my comminity the users are very close, and it's practically normal to ban at least one of them for some days every 2 weeks or so, and all of them always wanted to know WHY was the ban and I had to make this product :P Glad you liked it :)

vbulletin by default shows an Infractions Tabs...this was made for Bans, not infractions (given that that information already exists in the profile). So I really don't know what you mean.

What I meant it is exactly what you said, I'd like that in the box your hack shows the ban date/ban reason, it could even show the warning date/ warning reason..

Wow guys, it's been a Long time. I'm so sorry for this.

I haven't got any free time for around a month. I will be having some free time at the end of the week and I'm going to try to fix the possible errors the plugin has.

I used the mod in 3.7.0, 3.7.1/PL1/PL2 (haven't installed 3.7.2 yet) and it's working Great without any problem. Also, from what i see in your screenshot, there is a "this.form" javascript line, and this mod it's not using javascript nor forms anywhere, so my best guess is that another mod is conflicting with this mod somehow.

Try to disable each mod except this one, and enable each of them by one until you get the error so we can check =)

It's working 100% on vBulletin 3.7.2 here :)

So, this addon has been removed to the Graveyard, for whatever reason. And you think it is smart to repost it here? Either it contains security flaws, or the author asked for it to be removed, in which case you have no right to overrule his decision.
