Cyb - Flash-Image Banner Rotator
 

Info:
Easy to use/manage banner rotator which works with both, image and flash banners.


Features:
-one-step installation
-specify display duration/dimensions of individual image/swf
-set position on page and margins in ACP
-continuous and random play modes
-exclude usergroups from viewing banners
-automatically add banners to forum header (can be turned on/off)

Installation:
1. Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]
2. OPTIONAL: Open desired template and add "$cyb_flashimagebanners" where you wish banners to appear
3. OPTIONAL (if link to manage banners page is not shown in Quick links menu):
Open navbar template and add "$insert_cybfibr" after "$vbphrase[miscellaneous]</td></tr>"


To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Cyb - Flash-Image Banner Rotator

it seems to have issues with very long url's (cuts them off)

Thank You needed this very badly, had to remove VBPortal because it wouldnt work right for me with 3.7 gold.
One question, this is only showing in my default style. How would I make it work in other styles?

I guess it depends on the style, I see it on some and on some pages but not all. Thats ok I only show banners to unregistered and new members anyway. I will just make it so they cant change styles until they reach the post limit that they would no longer see banners.

When I click on the link it takes me to my smilies page. What gives?

I have placed the banners folder as such: /public_html/forums/cyb_banners/

So when I add a banner, the banner path that I put in the banner field is cyb_banners/logo.png.

The logo shows on all my pages except the vbadvanced_cmps home page. If I place a second cyb_banners folder in the root, it works; but there should be a way to have just the one folder I would think. Is there a setting I am missing?

Is it possible to add the banner between posts too ?

I'm getting a Security Token error like some other people have had problems with regarding other versions of vBulletin. Anyone else having this issue (or) have an idea on what I can do?

I've uninstalled the previous versions of the banner rotator addon and reinstalled with the same issue. I go into 'Manager Banners' from the drop down and input the data that is needed, click 'Go' and it comes up with the security token issue.

Cyb, I had posted in the old vb3.6 thread, but never got an answer.

I really like your banner mod, and would like to include it in an external page from vB. I was curious what all code I needed to include in my php page in order to access the "$cyb_flashimagebanners" variable.

Okay, 2 issues I have found...

I managed to get the banners added by manually putting in the token code, but I can't make banners active/inactive from the manage screen.

Secondly, the banners do not have a hyperlink @ the top of the page. Any insight?

On some of the pages when I open "Quick links" I get two "Manage Banners" links. The first one leads to the correct url and the second one takes you to

Hello! How can i add another thing like to add another banner rotator between the nav and forums, but more large, and with images only i'have selected? thanks!

It works now as admin.

But refreshing a page sometimes gives a blank. I have 2 banners loaded from the server and one banner loaded from an external site. The banners configuration is in random.

Added this to another site and banners dont appear
Fixxed it had to add $cyb_flashimagebanners to the header template

In addition to my issue on post 15, I'm also having the issue of them (the banners) occasionally NOT showing up on page refreshes.

Ok, i have one little problem. I am running a customized skin that does not have "Quick Links". How do i go about adding them to my nav bar so i can see the manage banners part of this hack?
