|
Very Very nice, Im using it now. Great Job
|
Great addition. I will watch this thread closely.
|
I'm glad to see how you're a man of his word ;) great job
|
Wow! Very nice = Thanx so much for the time you put into making this HelpCenter mod available for the 3.6.x series! AWESOME!
Jacquii. |
Not a problem, I have made it so that I can update the 3.6 version and the 3.7 version very easily without the need to write the same stuff for both modifications.
Thanks, Paul. |
Nice mod (: I will wait for it till it become gold.
|
nice i will install it :)
|
I have updated the download to include an updated product file which further fixes the latest vBulletin security risk.
Thanks, Paul. |
You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this. You are my hero. I have tried many other scripts like osticket thats not for VBulletin and none work. You are awesome. Keep up the great work. I shall nominate you for MOTM!

I've installed this on my 3.6.10 but in the Help Center page there are no options to create a new ticket..all that there is:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ Are all the admin settings in > vBulletin Options > HelpCenter Main Settings? There is no Link on the side like the vBulletin Options, Styles & Templates, etc... I see no usergroup permissions at all, anywhere as stated in the mod descriptions. I don't think the admin CP is installing even though that file is uploaded to the correct folder. I see this in the Readme file: vBulletin Version: 3.7 Product Version: 1.00 Beta 3 Authors: Paul Cook (PaulSonny) and Jason Abbott (Jase2) With Thanks To: John Persson (John3971) {Fan Rage} and Leigh Sumpter (Leigh) {New Modifications} Description: HelpCenter is a support ticket system made for vBulletin. It allows you to manage your members questions much easier, saving you the hassle of going through emails and private messages. Is this for 3.6 or 3.7? |
This download is for vBulletin 3.6, I may have just forgotten to update the README file.
After reviewing the cpnav and bitfields file I have realised I had forgotten to update those to the new product ID for this version, I have corrected this and is now updated in the download. I suggest everyone updates. Please re-install and it should work. Thanks, Paul. |
great work, will wait for a final though,
from the demo anyone can view and reply to tickets even unregisterd will this be the case in the final edition? regards |
No! The PaulSonny website is for our own use, in ordering ect..
That's why we suggest you try this on a test board, and wait for a 'stable' release. |
Probelm found. i just took the new update re did everything and in the left hand colume in the admincp the tciket option no longer show up! Can you please fix?
Thanks |

Same issue in 3.6.8 PL2 - no lefthand column in AdminCP for HelpCenter options. At http://JPiCForum.info/helpcenter.php - there's no option to create new ticket - apparently because I haven't set the options... But there are no options o.O May need to update the attached zip pack to current please. Thanx, Jacquii. |
Sorry about this guys, its very difficult for me to judge without actually testing on a proper vBulletin 3.6 Installation, im just relying on knowledge and pretty much guess work.
If anyone is willing to possibly give me admin access to a 3.6 Install I will try my best and update the package. Thanks, Paul. |
Right I have released Beta 5 and hopefully sorted out the issues mentioned above along with it.
Please report any problems. Thanks, Paul. |
Hey PAUL - still no main HelpCenter options in the AdminCP
And now the AdminCP ---> vBulletin Options ---> HelpCenter (shows a blank space) Then at http://jpicforum.info/helpcenter.php there's no links at all for submitting tickets or even viewing tickets.... Help please :) Jacquii. |
Oh dear, sorry about this everyone.
Try this package, if it works ill update the original download. Thanks, Paul. Package Removed. |
I have again updated the original download and this 'should' work.
As usual please report any problems. Thanks, Paul. |
Well PAUL.... Install went simple enough - I over wrote the files that had been installed and imported the product with overwrite enabled... Now the AdminCP options show up wonderfully - BUT I don't see any section for adding usergroup permissions?!?!? Is there such a section? So the navigation at http://jpicforum.info/helpcenter.php is missing a few links and is not like the example screenshots posted in the 3.7 thread:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...4&d=1208398209 Anyway - looking forward to getting this installed and working correctly! I was able to see the departments section and made a few departments without hassle - but when navigating to http://jpicforum.info/helpcenter.php?do=newticket - I see just a permissions error.... Help! :D Jacquii. |
Come on, get an RC release, we're all dying for it.
I want to put this on my live board. |
One suggestion I give is the option to make make all tickets by default open to everyone to see, unless the ticket-opener specifically checks off a checkbox to make it private.
|
There is no point going to RC stage when it simply isn't ready.
With regards to your problem Jacqui, have you checked under the Usergroup Permissions for the HelpCenter options? Thanks, Paul. |

Interestingly weird thing - is that there is a blank set of options (I don't think was there previously) that.........um............see the screenshot: http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/3...koptionca6.gif Um - could those be the options? There's no text or anything and I'm afraid I just don't know what that is LOL... Help :D Jacquii. |
Oh wait! I think I see the options now... There's no text at the top of the box though - and I'm not sure what the hell that blank box of options is?!?!?!? Weird... But yes! I do see ticket permissions...
Testing... YAY! I've tested the 1st Support ticket and it works wonderfully... I'll have a few questions a little later I'm sure... Thanx, Jacquii. |
Hello again,
Alot of things messed up because of something I did on the site were I am developing HelpCenter, anyway everything seems to be hopefully (fingers crossed) back in order and all phrases now seem to be back to normal. Feel free to update with product file. Thanks, Paul. Jacqui, does updating with this product file solve your Usergroup blank options for HelpCenter? Thanks, Paul. |
Hey paul for some reason it isn't adding the table prefix to the posts. When I submit a new ticket I get this:
Database error in vBulletin 3.6.10: Invalid SQL: SELECT department FROM helpcenter_department WHERE departmentid = '1'; MySQL Error : Table 'pXXn_pXXXXXc.helpcenter_department' doesn't exist Error Number : 1146 Date : Wednesday, April 30th 2008 @ 07:07:53 AM Script : http://forum.xxxxxxxxxx.com/helpcenter.php Referrer : http://forum.xxxxxxxxxx.com/helpcenter.php?do=newticket IP Address : XX.XXX.XX.XX Username : XXXXXXXXXXXX Classname : vB_Database |
Yes you are correct and this has been fixed. I will release an updated helpcenter.php later today.
Thanks, Paul. |
Looking forward to it.
|
Beta 6 Just Released!
This is going to be the final Beta for HelpCenter, from now it is just going to be bug fixes, if any. I'm sorry, but for the final time, you are going to have to uninstall any previous version and re-install with Beta 6. Thanks, Paul. |
