More traffic...Get the word out?
 
Is there anything or any way to get the word out about your forum? I am looking for some sort of anything which I could get the word out about my site. Any hacks or anything available for this?

I've done that, and moved from 1447 spot in google to 44 spot on the 4th page in 2 months by keywords.

how old is your domain? the older the better the ranking, also if your domain is paid every few years instead of every year even better ranking.

do what we are doing! me and my mates turn up 2 raves wearing our ocdradio t-shirts (its a dance music orientated forum). we also have 30 girls we know going to wear t-shirts for us to a big event called run to the sun. flyers are also a good idea. its not all about google ya know!

It's in the mods section. vbSEO google/yahoo sitemap maker. I have it but don't really know how to use it. I want to know what you are supposed to do with the rewrite rules in the htaccess folder.

There is no free vbseo.

There is a sitemap generator but it doesn't drive traffic to your site, nor does it help you get crawled indexed any faster contrary to popular belief

You are SO right!:up: And it's not all about the internet, either! Gotta promote yourself to those living in the REAL world, too!..We've done flyers, business cards, postcards, posters, buttons, shirts (we wear those), stickers. People like free swag.:D
